“Massive selection of beer!!!”
Reviewed 14 January 2014 via mobile

Great service, huge selection of beers and probably one of the cheapest bars in Bergen..

Don't be fooled by all the touristy bars down the front.. This will give you a Norwegian feel at a fraction of the cost and better service..

“Have a beer and chat”
Reviewed 21 December 2013

This place is what Norway lacks in general - a place where a beer is a brew that should be enjoyed. There is no music playing, which was fantastic. You could actually hear people talking, without having to shout. A great place to experience new tastes, and the guy at the bar was full of knowledge. You don't have to be a beer or wine geek, but it's easy to become here. We had a truly great time just talking while enjoying our drink. The only thing that would make me like it more would have been if I was offered some nuts or olives with my drink. This is my favourite pub in Norway so far. The best part was it wasn't filled with snobs, like the rest of Bergen...

“Probably the best pub in town!”
Reviewed 30 November 2013

Henrik has a large amount of different beer types. This is not the place to go if you want to get drunk, rather the place to go to drink good beer from different countries. The price is higher than the standard beers, but then, so is the quality of the beer. If you like to test out different beer types, then this is the pub for you.

“Good place for beer”
Reviewed 1 September 2013

54 different beers on tap. Most of them are Scandinavian, and many of them Norwegian. They do not have a large selection of botteled beer, one of the reasons why they are not the best beer-pub in Norway (Cardinal, Stavanger, in my opinion). I would have enjoyed it even more if they could lower the number of beer from each brewery (such as ABC and Amager) and added beer from more non-Scandinavian breweries. Atmosphere is great, staff does have good knowledge, and quality is top notch. Cannot have 5 out of 5 considering that Cardinal is even better.

I do not think they serve any food.

“For real ale fans”
Reviewed 31 May 2013

Good selection of Norwegian and international real ales. Open from 4.00 pm onwards and well worth a visit. If you ever thought a peaty taste was restricted to scotch whisky, think again.
