Although it was rainy day, we can still take nice photo with it. You can walk inside the narrow aisle and it's full of historic taste. Of course, this is a "must" to visit there in Bergen~

This is the biggest attraction in Bergen and it is very cool to see in person. I have seen many pictures but when you are actually there and get to walk down the old wooden alleyways it is a whole different thing. There is also a mix of touristy restaurants and shops along here and we actually stopped in at one of the restaurants it was expensive but delicious.

It is also amazing the to see the restoration they are doing as well because these buildings are sinking into the mud. They are actually disassembling the entire building and creating a whole new foundation for them. Luckily they are only doing it one building at a time so you won't miss out on seeing the others when you visit.

If you are in Bergen then you have to see this place as it is a great insight into the past and how things used to be in Bergen.

The Bryggen Hanseatic Wharf area in Bergen is certainly a different place from the normal attractions one finds. It shows a number of wooden houses, many leaning at different angles but all in beautiful colours. They say that this place is the most photographed tourist place in the world and it is no wonder given how it is presented. Yes it is a bit expensive to buy things there but it costs nothing to look at and take photos.

The area shows what it was like hundreds of years ago and the way that the community has protected the site makes it even more enjoyable to see. A must see place in Bergen.

I mean, come on, old buildings clumped together, where the Hanseatic traders resided. Lots of historic stuff to see. But it is a tourist site - overpriced trinkets with some beautiful art, knitted items, etc. mixed in. It is what Bergen is known for, and you can't go there without seeing it.
