“Pretty”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

We were lucky enough to visit the Bryggen Hanseatic Wharf on a beautiful sunny day, so everywhere looked so attractive, from the restored wooden buildings to the colourful boats bobbing on the water.
Norway is very expensive, but that day we were just content to sip a cup of tea and watch the world go by.
A photographer's paradise.

“Historic but how much?”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

Impressive restoration on the wooden buildings and its nice to look at and walk around. Fire means not so much is really old but does that matter? Buildings have always been replaced but I guess its the tourist 'souvenir shops' that sort of spoil it for me. Other buildlings close by are more impressive

“Enjoyed the Historic Hanseatic Wharf”
Reviewed 6 June 2014

It was amazing to see wood buildings from the early 1700s that have survived and the way the Hanseatic men worked and lived. We visited with a walking tour and that helped to understand.

Bryggen is one of the main postcards of Bergen. The colourful houses definetely give a special touch to this place. Don't forget your camera and capture every single colour of it!

“Very Authentic Buildings”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

The original buildings on the Hanseatic Wharf are quite picturesque...and very authentic since many our leaning in various directions. Although now housing souvenir shops and restaurants, the are well-located right on the harbor
