Last minute booking, complete with breakfast.
Breakfast was poor, 3 days sandwiches ham/cheese+apple+applejuice isn't exactly a healthy start of the day.
1 chair in a room for a family isn't comfy either.
Room was clean, fresh towels when needed.

I stayed for one night and was pleasantly surprised about the room, it was spacious, clean and functional. In the morning when getting out to find the breakfast buffet there already was a fresh package hanging on the door.

The best thing to say about the hotel is that it was clean and that you can have a shower while sitting on the toilet. It is ok if you are really busy and only spend the nights there... and if there is no football match - because there is an open-air football bar next door.
Breakfast is served in a bag on your door handle and consists of a stale sandwich, an apple, and a small bottle of apple juice. If you want to have a cup of tea or coffee, you need to get it from the lobby. When I arrived, my room was freezing cold. Although it is situated in the city center, I still think the price is too high - but I guess that's normal in Norway.
There is a nice Italian restaurant next door that is not too expensive.

Room Tip: A good room? Go somewhere else.

We booked the hotel and only then read the reviews. I was a bit worried but pleasantly surprised. OK, we were not above the club, but everything from check in to check out was what you would expect from a hotel half the price than any other. Beds were clean, shower was fine and perfectly quite rooms.

They could add a light to the toilet as ours did not have one so we had to shower with the door open.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the club

This is nice hotel in its catefory. Good location, nice price, take away breakfasts, quiet part of the city, within walking distance from the main attractions, port, etc. We have stayed in it for 1 night and departed next day from Bergen on the ship. They do not have, unfortunately, room for luggage to store, but they offered to us leave it in the lobby. Everything was nice.

This place is more of a hostel than a hotel. Personally I would pay a little more and stay somewhere infinitely better.

On the positive side the room was clean as was the bathroom although it smelt a bit (think it might have been the drain from the shower) it was a large room but it felt very utilitarian and not really cosy or welcoming. Staff were fairly helpful when requesting extra pillows and and asking about the lack of heating in our room (was switched off) They also kindly let us leave our luggage all day on the day of our departure.

On the negative side, walls are thin so you can hear your neighbours using the loo and there is noise from the corridors. We could hear drunks outside singing which luckily didn't go on for too long. Breakfast was a sandwich which i couldn't eat as it was meat and I am a vegetarian and there was no choice given so I went without. Only one channel on the TV you couldn't see as it was on a wall that you couldn't see from the bed.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back would appear to be away from the noisy street bars
