went to leone di mare twice. first night it was anational holiday but we managed to get a table in a very small place. the food was very fresh as they had to check that the sauce was made and ready. the choice was good.never seen so many choices of pizza. the staff both times were very friendly and helpful. food was good size hot and very tasty. some of the best italian food we have tasted. cheaper than most others which was another plus. away from the harbourr tourist trap area which helps. but only a few minutes walk to it so no hardship.
give it a go you will enjoy it.

Thank bertrum

Good thin pizza in nice atmosphere, and friendly staff! Prices are ok-ish. at least for Norwegian standards.

This restaurant is close to the To Søstre guesthouse (see my review) and serves Italian classics with an emphasis on food and wine from Marche - including some vegetarian options. The service was quick and friendly and the pasta arrived at our table still steaming hot. We also got a complimentary sweet drink before departing.

By Bergen standards, all this for a very reasonable price.

The restaurant is fairly small (5 tables) but we were able to get a place without a reservation on a week evening: I'm guessing you should book for Friday/weekends

Lovely food, great service, very reasonably priced for Norway. It is small so do book in advance. Large portions.

Finally a restaurant in Bergen serving real italian food. The place is rather small, simply decorated but with a nice view towards the Bryggen warfs. The best choice is pasta, freshly made and not overcooked with tasting sauces. As starter, the aubergines rolls are delicious. Locally imported wines are available; the one with a sheep head on the label is highly recommended if you like wine with character (but of course at norwegian price). The service is variable but mostly satisfying to enjoyable. Spritz as a aperitif is always a winner; also color wise! we advice to book in advance particularly in the summer season and in the evenings.
