Just behind the Byggen area at Bergen, you can find this little gem if you fancy an Italian meal. As soon as we entered we were greeted by very nice staff who guided us to a table and immediately brought us a jug of water together with a basket of bread with oils.
We decided we only wanted a pizza, so this what we ordered. The bonus (for us) was that wine, which is so expensive in Bergen, was a reasonable 165 NOK for a half litre carafe and was not bad!
The pizzas soon arrived and were really good. They were bigger than the 12 inch plate with a good thin base, well cooked and topping was just as ordered. There was a large selection of pizzas and typical Italian meals to choose from and what we saw of other peoples pasta dishes looked good with decent sized portions.
The bill was brought over with 4 mini toblerones and came to 455 NOK.
I would have no hesitation in recommending a meal here if you wanted a change from the numerous fish restaurants around the area.
