I ordered a crispy duck. The duck came, looking quite ok. But it was very dry, and the quality of the meat did not seem good. For the price, this was one of my worst meals ever.

Very good Japanese treat.... The setting is in Bergen old exchange (commodity /stock etc.) large fresco hall with decoration all the way through. However the acoustics are like a medieval concert hall, so small conversation can be difficult when it is full there.... The place offer 4 different restaurants so it is an upmarket "food court" style ala US shopping malls. The 3 of us had mixed 2sushi/sashimi plates, 2 beer, 2 soda water, 2 glass of white wine, 2 dessert, all in all with tip NOK 1,700.00 (approx $300)... not bad price by Norwegian standards, horrific by US/UK standard. Anyhow in the heart of Bergen, 2 mins walk to fish market , what more can you ask for :)

In reading the other reviews, I'd have to agree that it's quite confusing. Yami Yami is in an upscalae food court (Matbors) and so there are lots of stalls situated all around the outside. Yami Yami seems to have one whole section both in one corner/side and in the center. The waiters are a bit odd about where you can sit; whereas, when we came the evening before in search of dessert, the guy basically said we could sit any where.

We ordered a variety of dishes - sushi was fresh and beautiful but a very small portion; duck noodles had authentic flavors; seafood delicacies was beautiful and delicious (standard sauce)
[Pictures on Foodspotting] For Norway all of the dishes were very reasonably priced.

The restaurant is beautiful and the service was okay; however, the menu was limited. I wouldn't eat there again.

Teeming with rain as we got off the tour bus opposite the fish markets. We took shelter under a large tree, looked around and said, this looks like a bar, lets escape in and have a drink.

Well what a surprise. Inside is an amazingly huge space decorated in elegant painted walls, high arches to the ceilings which also are decorated. The decor looks expensive, the wait staff friendly and well presented. We ordered our drinks and enjoyed the atmosphere very much.

We asked, it seems there are 4 different restaurants within the one building each offering different styles of food but sharing the tables. We chose the Thai menu shared a Dragon roll for starters N125 (a large tempura prawn sushi covered in delicate slices of avocado cut into 8 pieces with red caviar on each and presented like an art work). For main I had green Thai wok N195 (green chicken curry with snow peas mushrooms and coriander with white rice) and he chose Kari Ikan N195 (curried salmon with peppers and eggplant with white rice).

The meals were very generous and most importantly tasted delicious. I would say the best we've had in a few weeks of travel.
