A trip up Stoltzekleiven will leave you with a solid workout combined with a spectacular view. On a sunny day it is nothing like draging your body up this steap hill! If you are in a great shape you can try the record which is just over 8 minutes.

Good luck and enjoy the workout!

This is a steep but relatively short hike to where you have a great view down on Bergen and west. I did it on the last evening of our week in Bergen. It was a highlight that I look back on and am glad I did.

Half of the population of Bergen has done it. Sting has done it. You should to. It will be tough. It will make you regret. But when you reach the top you will feel invincible.
What this is, is a stairway to the great view on the top of Bergen. The trail has an elevation of 313.5 meters and spans approx. 800 steps. It will make you sweat, but having done this, you can look all the citizens of Bergen in the eyes. And you will have their respect. And; whatever you treat yourself to afterwards, you deserve it.

I runned up Stoltzen and further to Fløien. The steps ut Stoltzen is steep but the reward is the nice view.

This is the ultimate test of Your ability to endure pain. Both men an women compete to run as fast as possible when climbing the stairs, but as an amateur you should walk with dignity and enjoy the 800 stairs and the view will be your best inspiration.
