“Great Food But!!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 August 2014 via mobile

Had dinner here on Saturday night August 2nd .Fab welcome from staff taken to our table given chilled water, bread, and menus Order taken we had noted that the waitress said that they were only accepting people who had booked as they were full but there was only two waiters on duty .Starters arrived very quickly infact so quickly that we still had not been given our wine choice, waitress apologised and stated that they were really stretched .White wine delivered without wine cooler which waitress said she would bring but after around 10 minutes we approached the other waitress and got a cooler immediately .Starter was fab. There was around a 50 minute wait between starter and main course which I thought was stretching it a bit again the food was fab when it came waitress was very apologetic and we were offered free sweets .It was slightly disappointing that on a Saturday night in the main holiday season that they appeared not to have enough waiting staff to support the fabulous food that is served in this very nice restaurant. It did not ruin our night but left a slightly bad taste.

“Superb in every way.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2014

We ate at Boha at the beginning and end of our holiday in Norway having chosen Boha from trip advisor reports. We cannot recommend it highly enough. The fish is cooked to perfection and is so fresh. We ate cerviche of scallops - perfection - followed by skate wings which are served off the bone. Don't know how the chef cooks skate this way but it was totally delicious and so fresh. We finished with lime pie with cherries soaked in port wine - superb flavours. We didn't want the meal to finish.

The staff are delightful and speak excellent English. Nothing is too much trouble and they are evidently very proud of the food that is served. There is an interesting and varied wine list with many wines sold by the glass. As previous reviewers have said wine is expensive by UK prices but not by Norwegian prices. We liked the way that staff brought chilled water straight away and there is plenty of delicious bread. A very tasty granita is served between courses.

We look forward to returning to Boha the next time we are in Bergen. We are thrilled that we experienced the delicious food that is lovingly served here.

“Very nice”

Best meal we had in Bergen this time.

They also have a well-picked wine list. We were surprised to find some off the beaten path wines which we happen to drink aat home, such as an alvarinho and a Greco di tufo.

“Excellent food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2014

A really good find, lovely meal and delightful staff. The lamb was succulent and tasty. My husband tried Reindeer for the first time and it was beautifully tender (unlike comments we had heard previously about it being tough). We certainly didn't need the toothpicks given to us at the end of the meal! Good selection of beers and able to have quality wine by the glass. Thoroughly recommend Boha to anyone wanting a restaurant that provides an excellent meal that is good value for money.

“A great meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 June 2014

An extremely good restaurant with very good service. Tried the asparagus soup, the lobster soup- wow!! Meat and fish was very good, dessert excellent- good craft beer choices for those who don't drink wine. An overpriced apple most at 30 euro a litre for grandmother's sour fruit drink...
