We stayed over at Norton House to celebrate a birthday.
We booked a superior room, along with breakfast and dinner.
Norton House has a large private car park, on a quiet road within Mumbles.
On arrival we were quickly checked in, and asked what time we wanted our dinner reservation.
The room was large, clean and modern, including hot drink facilities, strong Wifi connection and bath robes.
For the evening meal we both had an allocation of £20. For starters we had a seafood special risotto (which included cockles, lobster, crab and clotted cream) and the Anti Pasti platter (cured meats, olives etc..), for mains we had two Sirloin Steaks, and for desert the bakewell slice along with the white and dark chocolate profiteroles. All the food was fantastic. Our choices went over the £20 allocation, however if you take advantage of the lunch or evening early bird menu you can get a similar three course meal for under £20. For the price i think you will struggle in Mumbles to get a similar meal to the same standard.
We went out into Mumbles in the evening, so did not use the bar area.
We both slept very well, we were in room 2 which is directly above the bar area and we did not hear any noise through the night or in the morning.
The breakfast the next day was again fantastic. There is a large buffet selection of continental items along with cereals, fresh coffee and juice. The cooked breakfast is made to order so its cooked fresh.
We have previously stayed at Norton House, and can highly recommend a stay.
