We had a fantastic stay at the Tamarind. Unlike previous reviewers, our room including the bathroom was very nicely appointed and we didn't notice any tiredness around the resort . The hotel is situated on a lovely stretch of beach, on a calm sea with very good snorkelling in front of the hotel - lovely assortment of tropical fish, eels and squid to see. There is a good range of watersports on offer and I think the watersports staff deserve an extra mention for their helpfulness and professionalism.
The hotel was particularly family friendly with a great kids club (our son has never shown an interest in kids club before but loved Flying Fish) and a great games room too.
The food was generally of a very good standard and reasonably priced for Barbados- we were on a B&B basis but had some lunches at the hotel.
Service is generally very good at the hotel. Housekeeping can often be late (4pm once in our case) and there were other minor niggles but these were minor.
In summary, an excellent stay at an excellent value for money resort and probably our best family holiday to date. PS don't miss the free coconut ice lollies at about 4 pm - they are the best!More
