“Beach front cozy relaxing home in a great location”

I'm not one for a long detailed review. But this is the second time we've rented the home and I wanted to write an honest review that would help others looking for a home to rent in Barbados.

The first time we rented the home, we just rented the lower half because it was just two of us. This time we rented both the upper and the lower half because we brought our kids and some of their friends. So we had four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The lower half has an amazing deck and the kids loved their upper half.

If you want to know anything about anything just ask Bruce, the grounds keeper. He's friendly, funny, and very helpful. He does an awesome job taking care of the house. Antoinette was amazing and took care of washing our clothes, making sure we had enough beach towels, and cleaning the house.

One of our daughters said they couldn't sleep unless Thomas our nighttime security guard was outside. He has a very quiet but kind disposition and made us feel very safe and both Bruce and Thomas entertained one of our other daughters who was trying to catch and set crab traps.

There were water sports right outside on the beach. The evening sunsets were absolutely amazing. I don't know if it was the time of the year but every night at 6:35PM we watched a red and orange lit sky.

Parts of the house had been updated and other parts could use some updating but the price was set at a good value for the accommodations. It wasn't Sandy Lane but it also wasn't Sandy Lane prices and they're very close in proximity.

I wish it had a small plunge pool and an air conditioner in the living room for the evening hours which can be very warm and stuffy. But other than that, it was a great price for the location and the stress free vacation we had.

Thank you for your review, Rebecca. We are so happy to hear that you and your family enjoyed both upper and lower Bora Bora this time around. We greatly appreciate all the kind words and lovely comments about the great staff that take care of the villa - we will be sure to pass on your compliments. The West Coast is sunset coast for sure! We also appreciate your suggestions for A/C in the living area and a small plunge pool. Hope to see you and your family back again sometime soon!

“Nice Villa”

Nice place , you need to be comfortable with a bit of nature. Birds in the villa and crabs inside and out. Cant avoid this during crab season. There are no screens so birds will be in and out.
I am not sure what turtle season will bring, but i was told not outdoor lights can be on. That would be very dark. Screens on windows would also help with the mosquitos..
The villa has nice decor and it was nice to have breakfast outside daily. If you are looking for a quiet romantic getaway there are some things to consider. The security guard sits right outside the main bedroom. You can hear all conversations in detail as some of the openings are just shutter with no screen or windows. The housekeeper will come daily from 9-1pm and the gardener is also ever present and can be quite loud early mornings. So if you don't mind all this activity you will be fine..We opted to do the cleaning/dishes ourselves so that we could enjoy sleeping in should we choose to and some privacy during our stay. The security guard also relocated to another area so that was also helpful. Both the housekeeper and the guard were wonderful and allowed us to enjoy our holiday our way and were available if we had questions or needed anything.
The vouchers from tourism agency that we used for rental car took a week to sort out so if you are only there for a week hopefully you can get things sorted out. The villa was to have them upon arrival but that wasn't the case and it took about 3 visits to get everything done correctly. A bit annoying but it got done in the end.
