My wife and I stayed here last night. Very friendly and informative welcome from the receptionist. Room very clean and nicely decorated. Bed comfy. Breakfast (choice and size) good. Hotel well located being between (what's left of) the pier and the old town. Recommended.

Room Tip: Rooms are themed. For me the top floor is best because of the great sea view.

Booked a room with a sea view on a voucher. Arrived and found the hotel parked for free at a side road very close. The car remained there for the two nights we stayed. The hotel is very central, easily walkable to all the shops and restaurants which was great. The staff very laid back but attentive. The room on the second floor was great with a fantastic sea view which we had asked for, two chairs and table in the window. Ideal to sit and enjoy a cuppa, people watch and look at the ever changing sea. The breakfast was as said before freshly cooked and delivered to your table hot with toast at the side. Again breakfast staff took our order and delivered it efficiently. As previously stated the rooms are upstairs, this is of course due to the style of house. It has 3 levels and carpeted stair. Staff offered to assist us with our luggage which we declined with our thanks for asking. We enjoyed our 3 days in Eastbourne, the weather was great which of course does help.

Went on a special offer, which made it affordable. Otherwise very expensive - but may be the typical price of the area? Staff very helpful when we had to change the dates of our booking twice due to a funeral and a meeting!
Nice big room, with lovely views out on to the seafront. Would have been nice to have a couple of portable chairs to take onto the balcony for alfresco evening drinks. There was one small chair, but had to cart out the huge armchair!
Strange to find a bath in the middle of the room, instead of in bathroom, though it did look cool! Didn't use it, as would have preferred some privacy in the bath!
Pillows very hard, but bed ok otherwise. Moved rooms after the initial 2 night stay, as thought that room (sunset) too expensive. Other (normal) room just as nice, albeit no view.
Great location for seafront. Though beach is very pebbly and steep slope, so not really suitable for swimming - would have been good not having to go far to get showered after being covered in seawater! Quite a way from the town (and all restaurants etc) though.
I wouldn't recommend it for disabled as there are steps up and down to rooms. Great for younger, fit couple though.
Lovely, freshly cooked full breakfast too, included in the price. Smaller breakfasts would have had to be paid for (?)

My mother and I saw this hotel online and liked the look of it and its close proximity to the sea and town centre. We both are walking disabled so contacted the hotel prior to booking to see what facilities there were for disabled guests. After discussion with the hotel, who explained that there were steps up to the hotel and no adaptations or lifts etc inside my mother and I decided that we would give it a go and see
how we got on. On arrival the staff could not have been more helpful. We wheeled our bags to the hotel and the staff carried them to our room with no problem. There were several small flights of stairs to our room, however there were handrails to all the stairs and the tread was deep enough to take the whole length of our foot. They were well lit at all times and broken up by small landing areas. We stayed in one of the standard twin rooms and found these to be adequate for our needs. There was enough room to move between the single beds without tripping or stumbling, and the same with the bottom of the beds to access the bathroom etc. It would have been nice to have a small chair to sit on rather than a stool, but this was a basic room and would have made the room cramped. The bathroom was very clean and modern and had a shower over the bath with no grab rail, but to be fair we were told this was the case before we booked the room. We had only been in our room a very short time before deciding we wanted to extend our stay. Obviously this is not the hotel for you if you have a significant physical disability or mobility problems, as it is not adapted to
assist those with that. But if you can manage stairs, albeit slowly and walk with sticks or crutches I wouldn't discount this hotel because of that. It may be worth contacting them to discuss your personal limitations, because you could end up having a fantastic relaxing time just like my mum and I did. Actually if it wasn't for the fact that our room had been booked by another, we would have extended our stay yet again and still been there! (Yes there is some road noise, but the hotel is on the beach front so is bound to have cars driving along it, as we all want to get to the beach. Also there is some singing from the gulls, but again you are at the sea side so is inevitable)

I booked this hotel with a group of friends as a "relaxing hen weekend" & the hotel certainly delivered. The manager offered us a fantastic deal which included a spa treatment for us all, an overnight stay & a cooked breakfast. The service was excellent from start to finish & the hotel was lovely, modern, fresh & clean. The spa treatments were amazing & the breakfast delicious!!
We couldn't have asked for anymore & left the hotel feeling relaxed & re-energised! Will definitely be booking again & highly recommend a stay here!

Check in was quick and efficient. Our Jacuzzi room was a good size with tv, kettle and plenty of wardrobe space for a short break (only 4 coat hangers though so bring some if you need them). The room was very clean although would benefit from a little bit of maintenance around the edges (grout mildew, scuffs etc). Due to the weather being fantastic we didn't spend too much time in the room but all in all very pleased with the staff (all of whom were very pleasant), a great breakfast, and in a great position right on the seafront a short walk from the pier.

A one night stay and a very enjoyable one. The hotel is very small but the reception staff were extremely friendly and carried the bag to the room which was very welcome.

The room was one of the featured sea view rooms and was spacious and well equipped with a lovely roll top bath, just brilliant for soaking and watching the sea and beach. It was clean and well decorated although a few tiny details like remembering to scrub out the overflow on the sink would have made it perfect.

Perfectly positioned for the beach, promenade and the pier and easy to find as it is painted blue while all the other hotels are white. Parking is a bit tricky as you are reliant on finding a space on the sea front, however there is a handy dropping off area close to the hotel where you can stop and load and unload luggage before finding a space.

Rooms don't have aircon but you can leave the windows open and it is not too noisy over night. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise of not being just a standard buffet - which is so common these days in the hotel chains. You pay a bit extra for non standard cooked English breakfast but it was very fresh and tasty and worth the extra £5.

Eastbourne was also much nicer than I had thought and the surrounding coastal attractions were well worth visiting. It was also half the price of Brighton seafront hotels but just as easy to get to from London. So all in all worth a visit and a stay at the Waterside.

Room Tip: Seafront rooms are very nice and worth the extra
