“Outstanding value and good food”
Reviewed 17 April 2013

Ate here for the first time last week. All four of us chose from the mid-week 3 course set menu. We all enjoyed our meals and found it excellent value especially as it included a glass of house wine (which was actually quite drinkable). Nice decor and setting, just a shame it was a little quiet for a Thursday night. Will definitely return! Best value in town.

“menu with a difference”
Reviewed 7 April 2013

a group of us booked a table at michelangelo as we had been to many other local restaurants and were looking for something different . having seen the menu online before visiting we were not disappointed . i would suggest a quick look online to see the unusual dishes on the menu , not the usual Mediterranean fayre . the prices are fair but i wouldn't recommend the house wine , sometimes " house" wine is just not good wine ,its a shame .
we will return here none the less .

“Lovely Italian food,great value”
Reviewed 27 March 2013

We had a meal here on Saturday night, our second visit, we came while visiting Eastbourne last autumn too.

Both times we had the 3 course menu which included a glass of the excellent house red wine. This time we paid about £16, think it may be a bit cheaper mid-week. Good selection, free olives to start, then I had garlic prawns followed by swordfish and a good selection of vegetables, both courses delicious. Partner had veal for main couse, very nice. Choice of desserts, followed by excellent coffee.

Food was all freshly cooked to order in the little kitchen behind the bar, service was prompt and pleasant.

Highly recommended if you like a nice family restaurant, just as you would be lucky to find in Italy.

“Birthday treat”
Reviewed 11 December 2012

We had an excellent meal here for my birthday. Loads of choice on the menu and we thought it to be reasonably priced. We had not been for several years and my husband did not like it previously but after this visit he changed his mind. Not overly busy but I would definitely recommend Michaelangelos.
