On a whim, we decided to visit East Sussex to walk along the South Downs and booked into this B & B on the recommendation of a colleague. Vivian and Mario were absolutely lovely - so kind, friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Mario is a chef by profession and the breakfast in the morning was fab. His fresh fruit salad which must have contained at least 13 different types of fruit, including blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, grapes, pomegranates etc was superb with so much obvious care having gone into the preparatiion. I would highly recommend this B & B. Thank you.

We almost chose a chain hotel (for the 'better the devil you know' aspect) after finding the volume of accommodation in Eastbourne overwhelming to wade through for our one night stop over & are so glad we didn't after finding the Coast Guest Accommodation; the welcome we received after a long journey with a very tired toddler, was so warm and unexpected with tea & homemade cake. Our room was lovely, both in terms of decor & facilities, then once settled Mario & Vivian couldn't do enough to make us even more comfortable, with heating a bottle of milk for our toddler then once she was asleep, setting up a little table for my husband & I to eat a meal we had brought in in the conservatory which was most appreciated. The breakfast the following morning was probably one of the best I've had in a B&B/hotel, which set us up for the prospect of camping nearby on a very rainy day indeed, but the many alternative activities Vivian suggested to console us were really helpful. We left feeling a little sad to go!

This was a superbly decorated B&B on the front at Eastbourne. We had a great welcome from Mario & Vivian who could not do enough to make us feel more welcome.
Bests were comfortable, bathroom spotless and the breakfast was amazing.
Good value for money, highly recommended.

We have just returned from a fantastic 4 night stay at Coast. Vivien and Mario were warm and welcoming and we were knocked out by their 1000 watt beaming smiles! They welcomed us with tea and delicious home made cake which we ate in the sunny garden surrounded by a profusion of colourful flowers and plants. The guesthouse was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. We stayed in the LIghthouse Room which had such lovely decor that It was a pleasure to be in it. In our room was a selection of fruit teas as well as traditional tea, coffee and hot chocolate. There was also biscuits and chocolate mints. Mario's cooking was delicious with beautifully presented and tasty breakfasts each morning. The fresh fruit salad was amazing, including more than 12 different fresh fruits! Vivien gave us tips on where to eat and sights to see. She suggested we visit Birling Gap near Beachy Head, and we are so pleased that we did. We caught the open - top SIght Seeing bus (£7.50) which takes you up on to Beachy Head with plenty of stops to enable you to hop off and and on wherever you want. Coast is a 10 - 15 minute stroll into the town centre, along a flat and very pleasant promenade. We found a lovely tea shop called Neate's that served home made cakes and yummy cream teas. Also went into Patisserie Valerie which served amazing cakes and gateaux. This was our first visit to Eastbourne and we were very impressed with how clean and well kept it is. We will definitely be returning - staying at Coast of course!

Room Tip: We loved the Lighthouse room

All has been already said by others. “Perfect hospitality, facilities, location and breakfast” pretty much says it all. We just spent 8 days at 6 different B&B's in England, and while all were excellent, Coast was best on breakfast (an absolutely delicious fruit salad being key), and tied for best on hospitality with one other -- a tie only because at both places the level of hospitality was simply above and beyond. To give just one example, Mario called a restaurant to make sure they stayed open after hours so we could get dinner.
As a bonus, Vivien and Mario are not only helpful and gracious, they are also a pleasure to be around.

It was a bit by change that I chose Coast for a 4 night stay for my young daughter and myself - I wanted to visit Eastbourne again after an absence of about 25 years. We were very pleased with our stay, had a very nice big room beautifully decorated and very varm attention and hospitality from Vivien and Mario. Coast is very conveniently placed - close to everything and still nice and quiet. We can highly recommend a stay at Coast and hope to be able to return some day.

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend of walking on the South Downs with a friend. Both rooms spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Comfortable beds and good showers, plenty of supplies on the tea tray! Vivian and Mario were lovely and welcoming, recommended a good local restaurant and booked a taxi for us. Our friend is coeliac and they even managed to cater for that. Great breakfast - lots of choice and as others have said, the fruit salad is definitely special! Parking is at the back of the B&B, location is about 15 mins from town centre along the front, so nice and convenient but also quiet. We will definitely come here again when we next want to be in Eastbourne.
