We went here with friends who said they had had good experiences. Tonight was not to be the same. This place seems to have the problem that if more than one table worth comes, despite having several, they cannot cope with them (our friends had said when they were here it was mostly just them). They had apparently had a big night the day before and were out of the first 3 wines we asked for, despite being very different wines (a sparkling rosé, a cava and a Chilean red). Finally they gave us a wine not on the menu at all. It was alright, but this was just the beginning of our troubles there. The pappadoms were a bit soggy and the dips tiny for 4 people. They were perhaps enough for 1. One of our party's starter was wrong and when they corrected it, they couldn't even bring her what she ordered because 'it would take too long' and after bringing some sort of fried prawns to a woman who doesn't eat seafood and therefore absolute did not accidentally order that, they replaced her order of chicken tikka with lamb tikka. My husband's starter was also an odd luke warm temperature, which though in theory may be a local delicacy somewhere, most food tends to be properly cool or actually meant to be hot. Our mains took nearly an hour to arrive and my side of aloo arrived cold yet undercooked and they had forgotten about my main, which when it did arrive, included some nice, tough lamb, despite arriving late. It was very overpriced for how unsatisfied we were with the evening and how little the staff seemed to care that they messed several things up and were lacking several menu items. To make it more annoying, when the bill came, they announced they didn't take credit card, which is customary to tell before the meal begins, not at the end, so my husband had to trudge out to a cash point in the rain. We will not be going here again and I recommend against it for you.
