The room (and indeed the hotel) is old-fashioned with excellent service from all the staff encountered. However, the room was small for the money paid and we did not feel it was good value (see my review of the Best Western Lansdowne next door). The food was expensive and room service missed basic items such as cutlery and coffee cups. Tea & coffee making facilities are available for free, but you have to ask - probably because the room we had was so small there was nowhere to put the tray! Could benefit from air conditioning as well, as at this time of year the whole hotel was very warm. One of those stays where the more we compared it to next door, the more disappointed we were.
