ive been traveling with daish,s for over 30 years and have never had a bad holiday the claremont is on the seafront and is ideal.Cannot find anything bad to say hotel very clean food and service very good, all staff freindly. We didnt see the entertainment as the weather were hot so went went out for walks after evening meal but it must have been ok because the entertainment room were always full. Our room was on the seafront we did pay extra and it was worth it but were told if the pier had been open it would have been noisey because there is a nightclub at the end of it and does.nt close until early hours. Will be going back for my 4th visit.

Room Tip: if you don,t mind noise pay for seaview room

We used self drive recently spending a few days at the Claremont Hotel Eastbourne. Overall it was a restful time for us, and Eastbourne is a lovely lively place. Sadly the pier had just had a bad fire, which was a dissapointment for us. Our complaints were the service for the meals was slow, and if you did not have a starter, you waited ages for the main meal, thats breakfast as well. While we were there on one evening there was a power cut, so no lift and no evening meal, as we were upstairs we took the option of having sandwiches sent up, the other option was to go out for a meal and on proof of cost a receipt Daish's would pay it, but as my husband has a heart condition we could not go out, as he would have had to use the stairs to get back up to our room. The sandwiches were aweful, with not much choice. The entertainment was poor too. For us it was just for a complete rest, but the Bournmouth Hotel, does a better job at the meals and entertainment.

Room Tip: Front rooms better for a view.

This was our third visit to a Daisha's hotel and we were not disapointed. There were some items that need improving on, like the lift which I understand is waiting for planning permission.
It was very hot during our visit and the dining room in the basement was very uncomfortable. The food and service was as usual very good but air conditioning needs installing. I thought the entertainment was not up to the standard of the other hotels but the bar prices were fair and the staff very good.
We stayed the week before the fire so we were able to appreciate the convenience of the Piers location. Our room was on the top floor and was clean and comfortable with tea and coffee provided.

We arrived after a very long journey but we were welcomed by the friendly staff when we eventually arrived. We had our meal as soon as we arrived as we were later arriving, after dinner we had our room keys. The room was lovely and comfortable. Very Hot.This was a lovely holiday and a lovely hotel, the rooms were lovely and comfortable and the staff were ever so helpful. The food was delicious.

unfortunately arrived at the hotel just as a little smoke was coming out of the roof of the pier we
did not realize how big the blaze would be,(lets hope and pray it is quickly rebuilt)what planet are some of these reviewers on regarding the hotel, it has had a makeover but any business needs to
be up and running to bring in revenue.the rooms are clean and decent over a few months i am sure this hotel corridors and like will be bought up to pristine condition, i personally do not sleep in the corridors,
.
the lift is a older type lift to go with a great older type great character building i for one would not like to see glass lifts skimming up the outside wall like lioyds building in london.
how this company manage to constantly serve great food at these prices i do not know,i converse with many guests and could not find one who had not been here before one lady has 6 holidays booked with them this year, this company must have the most loyal customer base in
the country.
thank god someone is saving our old hotels i like many other people do not want to stay in a glass and concrete palace, before any one asks i am not related to the owner just like exceptional value and i need not drive,i hope to try another of your hotels in a few months,(it would be sooner but for a black and white fluffy thing with tail who my wife thinks she gave birth to)well done again daishs .

having just returned from this hotel, I can only say just how much we enjoyed our stay at the hotel being on the promenade and across from the pier this hotel could NOT be in a better location for us to enjoy our break at the claremont. Having had a makeover since daish,s took it over. I can only say a makeover AS IT HAS NOT (in my eyes)had a refurbishment. many changes have been made with New disabled rooms being built on the lower ground level access to this level being made by a new &quick lift.we noted that it would be possible to take a scooter or chair. However the lift to the upper floors is still of an old type taking 3 persons and long waits to get into it, HOWEVER it should be noted that they are waiting for council permission to change it.We found our room on the top floor to been clean and bright and the bed made with clean sheets, and a recent new mattress on the bed, Fresh clean towels supplied and ALL in very good condition, 2 Small & 2 large supplied. I expect these are nearly new and part of the changeover plan. During our stay we had our towels changed when needed, normal leave on floor or in shower to request. the room was always tidy after breakfast. Food was good most days but the rolls could have been a little fresher for the 3rd evening, But were fresh the next day. In our area no person had complained. Our waitress BEA,was on the ball & always polite. the hotel has a small coffee/snack bar by reception which is nice if you wanted a light lunch whilst sitting in the sun Daish,s are making progress in transforming this hotel and in my mind & thinking of the aims of the owner this will, in the following months, be worth a visit. Our thanks to the young lady at reception (sorry,no name) & kathleen in coffee shop for great service. We enjoyed our stay and have rebooked.

Room Tip: Mobility scooters welcome reception of great help to assist if needed will give number of renter.
