The hotel is in an excellent sea front position, near the pier and with a number of sea view rooms. The staff are friendly and helpful, and our standard sea view room on the 3rd floor was comfortable enough. The shower was good and the lift worked.
Less impressive was the restaurant, which was too small for the number of visitors, and the queues for a table at breakfast were considerable at times. Breakfast itself was of a good standard, although shortages of certain items occurred as the kitchen struggled to keep up with demand. We tried an evening meal one day, and it took 45 minutes from placing our order to receiving the first course. The food itself was ok but unremarkable. Overall, the hotel isn't cheap so its value for money is questionable, given the quality of other comparable hotels in the area.

I stayed at this hotel with my husband and 3 kids aged 17,15 & 11. We needed 2 rooms. Prior to arrival I phoned hotel and asked for 2 seaview rooms next too each other, my request was noted on my booking. When we booked in we were told that there was only 1 room with a seaview and the other was at the back of the hotel. The receptionist admitted that although it was written on my notes the room had been given to someone else. Needless to say we were not impressed. Buffet breakfast at hotel was slow and there was not a lot on offer and there was almost a fight for food because there was a small amount on offer. Rooms were comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. We came to eastbourne because we wanted to explore some of the south downs area. It was beautiful, please see pics.

Good value deal and room had a sea view although it was slightly obscured by grubby window and a sea gull! Room and bathroom very clean and a great sized bed although limited wardrobe and storage space for clothes may be a problem if staying for longer than a couple of nights. No air con so window had to be open all night but listening to sea very therapeutic and slept well Parking near to hotel was a challenge but it was a bank holiday weekend. Staff were friendly and helpful, lift always working and great Art work on the walls.

Room Tip: Sea view with a clean window and without pet sea gull!

Found a deal on amazon what's what a great value for money. The hotel is right Infront of sea front and the staff are really down to earth.

The hotel room is spacious and very clean.

The breakfast caters for vegetarian as well

Would like to say a personal thank you for the evening receptionists who go out there way to help you

We stayed for 3 nights using an Amazon voucher, £139 for 2 people with breakfast. The hotel is on the sea front, easy to walk to the town or get one of the many buses that run frequently. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The room was a good size with a decent sized TV and lots of channels. The room was clean and serviced properly each day. The bathroom was fine, had a small bath/shower, plenty of hot water. A generous supply of tea and coffee that was replenished daily. The only drawback was the dining room which wasn't really big enough for a large hotel, sometimes there was a queue but not for long. Breakfast was adequate and fine for the price. We had a lovely time and would definitely stay there again.
