Spent 4 nights at this hotel in Eastbourne and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff were very friendly and made everyone really welcome. There were 12 in our group and nothing was too much trouble. A lot of work is going into ensuring this hotel is brought up to date. The staff really care and it shows. The beds were very comfortable and the evening meals were extremely good; tasty soups and well seasoned main meals. The vegetarian options were particularly good. Excellent value budget hotel.

I've stayed at the Savoy Court Hotel every year around christmas for the past 10 years or so, and I would not pick another hotel in Eastbourne. It may not be the best hotel around in terms of furnishing - It's offers quiet, small B&B style accommodation which would have be more fitting in 1985 but you can't fault it at all.

Staff are extremely friendly and make you feel incredibly welcome. Don't forget breakfast in the morning - I'd personally pay the staff to cook me brekkie every morning, all year round.

My girlfriend and I arrived very late at the hotel on friday night, the staff were kind enough to stay up till 1.00am to check us in, they were friendly and offered us refreshments, this personal andf friendly service is something special. We stayed in a lovely room (14) which had a confortable memory foam mattress on our bed, the hotel is ideally located near to the shops, seafront and minites walked from the station.

Our single rooms were compact, but clean and the cooked breakfasts much more generous than we had expected. And although the hotel's bedrooms could do with some redecoration and refurbishment, the friendliness of the staff more than made up for any shortcomings in its fixtures and fittings.

Have to say I loved this hotel. Staff were so friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. My room was lovely, really clean and tidy. Bathroom was small but clean and more than fit for purpose.

Meals were excellent and there was a great choice. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be staying again.

This has to be the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. How bad must the other hotels in Eastbourne be for this to be the 15th best?? Entrance is amazing - looks fantastic from the outside...but the inside is tired, shabby and creaky. The bed was very soft, lumpy and narrow (3/4 rather than double?). The window wouldn't close properly so the noise from the traffic and the revellers disturbed us. The bathroom was dirty (ingrained dirt and mould rather than surface dirt) and the shower absolutely pitiful. It was tiny with no pressure whatsoever. I wrote this review in my head whilst in this shower! It's been a couple of weeks so I can calm down and be rational. The decor was incredibly dated and shabby. You couldn't/wouldn't walk around barefoot on the carpet or in the bathroom. I've saved what I consider to the the worst till last. The "cold" water, needed to be run for 15 MINUTES before it ran cool enough to drink. I hate wasting water but the room was hot so I needed to quench my thirst. I think a tap which needs to be run for 15 minutes before the water can be drunk highlights a deeper issue with the infrastructure of the hotel. Also, surely warm water from the cold tap is a health hazard? Overall tired and shabby. Postives - staff were friendly, location is very handy and the hotel gives parking permits so you can park outside.
