We have stayed with Carl & Sarah several times now and will be going back soon, their place is ideally suited as its close to the beach but within easy reach of the town, we have stayed in the winter and summer and Eastbourne has something at any time. We can highly recommend Guesthouse East

Room Tip: All rooms are equally good but if you have a family the larger family rooms are excellent

Hi Peter
Always nice to hear from you! Thanks for the lovely words and great to hear that Eastbourne still works for you.
An invigorating walk along the prom in bright winter sunshine takes some beating!
See you soon
Carl

I have stayed at Guest House East for both holiday and work a number of times now. It is the best place to stay in Eastbourne. It is just great - friendly, welcoming and in a lovely old house with big room and high ceilings all tastefully decorated. The rooms are quiet - old buildings thick walls. Close to the sea and all the best places in Eastbourne - great for families, couples and singles alike.

Room Tip: There are one or two rooms that give you a view of the sea....

Hello again
Thanks for the amazing endorsement! It took us a long time to find the right property, with its location by the beach and close to the town, and also for all the period features (the thick walls and high ceilings certainly keep everything very quiet!).
See you on your trip - thanks again
Carl

My daughter and her husband and their two children stayed for one night during Airbourne week. I had heard of the Guest House from a friend who lives nearby and I booked my family in. They had a warm welcome and loved their room which also had a kitchen and bathroom. Very useful when feeding a 6 and 9 year old! They said the beds were very comfortable too!

Just a few steps from the seafront this was an ideal location for the Airshow which was the reason for the visit.

Hello and thanks for finding time for the warm review.
The extra space within the suites really does seem to go down well, particularly with families, as do the kitchens, so I'm really pleased it worked for your daughter too.
Thanks for the feedback on the beds - they're a great investment as a good nights sleep sets you up for the day ahead and gives everyone a smile!

It was my second visit to Guesthouse East (which speaks for itself!) when my sister and I stayed there for a weekend some time ago. The location is great, so close to everything. The accommodation is beautiful, a very high standard of fittings and upkeep, lovely and clean, extremely good value for money. The hosts, Carl and Sarah, are friendly and helpful, with advice on local activities and services, nothing was too much trouble. The vegetarian breakfast rocked. I would definitely stay there again.

Hi Anne-Marie, lovely to have you back again :)
As a veggie myself I always make an extra effort as the chef in the kitchen - sourcing locally and, when the seasons are right, I love to forage for mushrooms from the countryside near Beachy Head which have such amazing flavour.
I'll pass on your feedback to the house-keeping - she works so hard to keep the rooms and bathrooms looking lovely so will be chuffed to hear you enjoyed them!
See you again
Carl

What great hosts! It's like dropping in on friends. Super helpful, and they serve a wonderful breakfast. There's Carl's Awesome Oatmeal - or something like that. And it is, truly!

A bit of a climb up the stairs, but it gets the legs ready for roaming the hills of Eastborne. :-)

Ah, Peter, thank you so much for the praise! It's put a smile on my face (which is not easy first thing in the morning!).
Awesome Oatmeal? I'll need to amend the menu with that lovely endorsement. And it certainly powers the legs for the stairs/Beachy Head.
Cheers
Carl
