Had an amazing stay here a couple of weeks ago with my girlfriend. The rooms are a good size, clean and well presented. We even had our own kitchen though we didn't get around to using it! :)

The owners Sarah and Carl know the area well and are extremely helpful. We went on a lovely walk along the coast near Beachy head which they had recommended. Will definitely be back!

Very friendly hosts Carl and Sarah made us feel very welcome. We found the Guesthouse East as a last minute booking for a weekend away from the norm and were glad we did. It is situated perfectly for walking to the town, pier and seafront. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Breakfast was very nice, we were not rushed at all throughout our stay and all in all it was a great weekend.

Hi Rob
Thanks for taking the time to leave a review and fab to hear that the impromptu trip worked out so well!
We just try to help our guests make the most of their time away and that might mean offering local advice and recommendations or just allowing people to potter at their own pace and escape. The beach at the end of the road certainly helps - I can hear the seagulls outside as I write this :)
Maybe see you for another quick getaway from London

Our stays at Guesthouse East have always given us a very relaxing time away from London. Carl and Sarah have always been very kind, helpful and considerate hosts, giving us a lot of information about our outings and recommended places to eat, which were great, and within easy reach for us. The decor is minimal and contemporary, and above all, the apartments are spotlessly clean. Access to and from the property was manageable for our mother, which was a main consideration for us, but the property is also situated within easy reach of the sea, transport links and at the same time, to shops and eating places (esp fish and chips eating establshments...). The local cinema in town is also level access and therefore a much better experience for people with mobility difficulties). Carl and Sarah also greet you with a cup of tea or bottle of beer on arrival - what more could one ask!

Hello again
It's always lovely to see you all here as a family and very rewarding to hear that you keep enjoying yourself at the guesthouse and Eastbourne with its attractions right on the doorstep.
Looking forward to seeing you all again this summer.

My family from Saudi Arabia stayed here whilst on holiday in the UK last summer. They had a three bedroom apartment. The apartment was very spacious, well decorated and clean. Guesthouse East is situated 5 minutes walk from the town centre and within easy reach of the beach. Carl and Sarah are very welcoming and happy to answer any questions regarding your stay and the local area. We would not hesitate to recommend Guesthouse East to our family and friends.

Hello and thanks for taking time for the feedback.
I'm really pleased your family enjoyed their time away from Saudi in the summer - I reckon Eastbourne must have felt a little fresh after leaving near 50 degree temperatures!
Looking forward to seeing them again

This is a lovely place to stay for families when visiting Eastbourne. Very well located, good atmosphere and confy big rooms. The facilites are good and you can have a lovely breakfast or meal. The warm welcome we received after a long trip with two kids was much appreciated.
I would highly recomend it and we will definitely stay here for our next visit to Eastbourne.

Thanks for taking time from family life in France to leave the kind words.
We wanted to create a very relaxed, practical space here, hence a lot of the internal walls have been knocked down to create the large suites with kitchens, which work particularly well for families.
See you on your next trip over.
Thanks again
Carl

We have stayed with Carl & Sarah several times now and will be going back soon, their place is ideally suited as its close to the beach but within easy reach of the town, we have stayed in the winter and summer and Eastbourne has something at any time. We can highly recommend Guesthouse East

Room Tip: All rooms are equally good but if you have a family the larger family rooms are excellent

I have stayed at Guest House East for both holiday and work a number of times now. It is the best place to stay in Eastbourne. It is just great - friendly, welcoming and in a lovely old house with big room and high ceilings all tastefully decorated. The rooms are quiet - old buildings thick walls. Close to the sea and all the best places in Eastbourne - great for families, couples and singles alike.

Room Tip: There are one or two rooms that give you a view of the sea....

Hello again
Thanks for the amazing endorsement! It took us a long time to find the right property, with its location by the beach and close to the town, and also for all the period features (the thick walls and high ceilings certainly keep everything very quiet!).
See you on your trip - thanks again
