My Wife and I stayed at the Hotel for three nights. The Hotel is very attractively decorated throughout and our room was most comfortable and satisfactory. The Hotel has its own car park which can take 3 possibly 4 cars. There is free parking on the roads around the Hotel but these are often taken, especially at peak seasons, by quests at this and other Hotels.
The food in the Bistro in the Hotel is excellent but the Bistro is not always open! We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel and would recommend it . However, the fixed meal times, particularly the late breakfast at 8:45am, may not suit those that like to make the most of ones Holiday.

Thank you for your kind review.
We are sorry that you were dissappointed with the Bistro being closed, but it has always been our policy to operate the Bistro on a 5 day a week basis with it being closed on a Sunday and Monday.
Our Breakfast times take into account different guests needs and the fact that we encourage a relaxed and restful atmosphere during their holiday in North Wales.

We have just spent a 1 week holiday with Neil and Gill and couldn't wish for better hosts and accomodation. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Neil has a fount of local knowledge and can advise on all sorts of places to visit. Gill is an excellent chef - the food is all fresh and locally sourced and tastes wonderful and there is plenty of it! The hotel is tastefully furnished and very comfortable. Nice little touches everywhere in the room from chocs on your pillow to toiletries and glasses wipes in the bathroom. You feel as if you are a very special pampered guest but part of the family too. Plenty of tea and coffee in the room and more if you want it. Car parking for about 4 vehicles, but it's such a safe area and the streets are so wide that there are no worries about road parking
Llandudno is a lovely clean resort to stay in and a good base to tour North Wales from. The hotel is towards the far end of the Promenade, but you just want to walk along as it's so pleasant. Would definately stay here again.

Room Tip: Bay window seaview room

From our arrival at the Carmel hotel, we had a lovely two nights. Neil the owner greeted me by name at the door, showed us round the room and gave us all the info we needed.
Breakfast was lovely, lots of choice and Neil was happy to change the breakfasts to our needs.
There is a bar with a good choice of wines, Neil stayed and had a chat with us while we were having a bottle of wine, decent price too.
The bed we had was so comfy I could have stayed there all day!
There is a small car park at the back, also plenty of free parking on the surrounding roads, a small shop within 2 minutes walk.
All in all, a lovely hotel, within 10 minutes walk of the town centre and pier/amusements, we would definitely go back if we are in the area again in the future.

We were staying in a nearby hotel but needed an evening meal, and Llandudno was almost full on this Saturday evening!! We called in at Carmel Bistro and were delighted that a table was free. We were really impressed with the food, and the ambience of the dining room and thoroughly enjoyed our meal from beginning to end! Neil Pond was the perfect host and we chatted as we ended our evening to go back to our hotel. We will certainly make plans to stay there and I am sure we will enjoy the stay as much as we enjoyed the food! We would recommend the Carmel to anyone wanting excellent food and a genuinely sincere reception.

Have just stayed at The Carmel Hotel, ... our second visit, very welcoming place, spotlessly clean, The decor is lovely and the hosts, Neil and Gill Pond, are incredibly friendly and hospitable.

Neil and Gill are lovely hosts and nothing was too much trouble, with lots of coffee and tea in the room.

Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Room 5. King Size Sleigh Bed brilliant.
