Reviewed 20 February 2013

Reception, food, staff, management, service, accommodation excellent.
We took a coach trip here for a "romantic break" in February this year. The passengers were enthusiastic about all of the above with not one negative comment other than the break was not long enough. Unable to pick fault with any aspect of the hotel or the way that it is run. Will not hesitate in recommending this hotel for either group booking or private guests.

We have been staying at this hotel for over 10 years and it improves every time. The owners and all the staff without exception are great. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is always first class with plenty of choice (advise you try the porridge with whiskey and cream!)

Having stayed in hotels in many different places and countries I can honestly say the Tynedale cannot be beaten.

just back from a weekend at this lovely hotel, unknown to us when booking it was valentine weekend, which was a nice surprise champagne and chocolates when you arrived in room, beautifully clean, decorated well, lovely staff who could not do enough for you!! the bar was great and good prices as sometimes bar prices in hotels are often very high, food was great are only complaint would be that we are young at heart only just in our 50s and we feel that we visited this hotel 15 years too early for us (not a complaint really) but we had a great time and walked for miles the sea front is lovely and the weather was good too.

Room Tip: if you haqve any difficulty with mobility you would need to book a low room, they do have a lift but...

Just come back from the landlubbers cruise that they do at the Tynesdale, brilliant! They have been doing this for 20 years and very good at it too. The hotel is very clean, comfortable and the food and service is excellent! The manager is very friendly and helpful and is always on hand playing an active part, well done!

This was my first stay in the Tynedale hotel after hearing so much about it from others who travel with Blakes Coaches Holidays from Tiverton Devon ( an excellent coach holiday firm who put their customers before all else.) We were on the landlubbers cruise- a mock cruise but on land for 5 days. The welcome on arrival made you feel special and valued as a customer. The food and customer service during our stay was excellent, in fact better than a lot of 4 and 5 star hotels i have stayed in during the years. All staff were happy, smiling, friendly, nothing was to much trouble. Breakfast was a delight of hot and cold freshly prepared and cooked foods, i must admit to having become a fan of porririge topped with brown sugar, whiskey and cream since my stay!. Cooked breakfast was piping hot, their eggs had real orange egg yolks! Dinner was always a good selection of foods to suit all tastes and preferences, the grand gala buffett was a spectacular, you really have to see it to belive it. The hotel is decorated to an excellent modern contemporary standard, spacious with losts of seating areas througout. Bed rooms were very clean and fresh and decorated to the same standard as the rest of the hotel.
Already booked to stay again in November for Holly and Mistletoe. Llandudno has a very smart and clean sea front and lovley shops. Very Impressed for a sea side town in January!

Room Tip: Ask for sea front if possible

Another excellent stay with a group of disabled and elderley people which my husband organised and led. This family run hotel is warm and welcoming and because it is family run you get a personal and friendly response. Nothing is too much trouble. Accommodation first class thanks to Nathan's artistic wife who does all the interior design, food is excellent quality as they only use quality providers and not cheap alternatives, good entertainment. Many of our group say that it is the best hotel they have stayed in. My husband and I are looking forward to staying at the hotel on our own for the landlovers cruise, another unforgetable experience.
If the Tynedale was rated on Strictly it would be "Fab u lous"

Room Tip: Bay window front you pay a little more but worthwhile that is if you can get into the hotel as it al...
