“Lovely place with great food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 August 2014

We actually visited this restaurant twice in our week in North Wales as we enjoyed it so much the first time. The food is fantastic, the staff very friendly and attentive and very convieniently located with a car park (pay and display) opposite and plenty of on street parking in the evenings too.

The menu has a very good selection of food and there are a number of children's options available - not just your standard burger or fish fingers (although they are on there!)

When tables are booked a little reservation card gets put on the table however, if you arrive without booking, you can use any table you choose as long as you happy to make sure you leave in time for the staff to clear and clean the table for the reserved visitors' time slot. I haven't seen that in many places and it worked really well - the first time we visited it was only down to this system that we managed to get a table! Highly recommended!

We will definitely return if we find ourselves back in this neck of the woods.

“Home cooked”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 August 2014 via mobile

I read about this place through trip adviser when I wanted advice about where to eat out. Not disappointed. Lovely food, lovely atmosphere, very reasonable and home cooking. What more can you want... oh and the staff are lovely to. Unfortunately everyone else loves it to so book your table . We did and saw a lot of people having to be told they were fully booked. Don't chance it .It only takes a phone call . ☺

Been to the cottage loaf on numerous occasions as we like the atmosphere the drinks selection and mostly the food ! On this occasion we decided to have something different so we opted for the veggie burger WHAT a mistake !! It was described as a chick pea & mozzarella burger with sweet chilli dip . We expected ( wrongly as we found out ) a chunky blended chick pea burger with some texture ,how wrong we were it can only be described as mush ( the flavour was ok ) the whole thing collapsed as you bit into it !!! Also it has to be questioned HOW can 2 burgers be served with sweet potato chips less than 10 minutes after ordering (microwave ???? ) we feel you let yourself down as we have eaten at the cottage loaf before but left really disappointed and will think twice about eating here again ..
