This was our second stay at The Queens. This time with 2 grandchildren ages 9 and 4.
The room was large enough for a double and 2 single beds all spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. The food was very good and the service excellent. As I mentioned in a previous posting for The Queens it is unusual to pre order meals but the system certainly works.

Beware if you are staying as we discovered that there were 2 large dogs staying with the owners in a bedroom near ours.
Otherwise the food was very nice also the newly refurbished reception. Our bedroom and bathroom needed some attention

Eight of us stayed here for 2 nights 13/14th of november for an early christmas.A very pleasant stay for the turkey and tinsel weekend. The rooms were basic but homely.Food was very good, being breakfast and evening meal.Entertainment in the evening was fair.Would reccommend this hotel to anybody for a weekend.Get there early if you want a parking space as quite limited.

We arrived at The Queens and were surprised to find the hotel decorated for Christmas (as were some other hotels in Llandudno). We booked in and were told our room was on the second floor, but not told where the lift was or any other details about dinner or breakfast times etc. We found our bedroom to be warm, large, with 2 windows overlooking the sea. The room was very clean and tidy the bedding was also very clean and the bed comfortable. We went down for dinner at 6.30 as instructed in the hotel information folder , as did about another 70 guests as there is only one sitting. We were again surprised to find paper Christmas napkins and Christmas presents.
The meal was 4 courses- we chose cod and prawn fish cakes with a chilli dip, ham and lentil soup, roast beef dinner, banana and nut sundae followed by coffee. Dinner was basic but everything came very hot and was quite acceptable. The kitchen and waiting staff were very well organised as the whole 4 courses only took just over an hour and a quarter. Something that we have never come across before was to be asked what we would like for breakfast the next day also at breakfast if you are staying for dinner you are asked to pre order that. The system seems to work. The evening entertainment was a man DJ and his lady assistant . We played 2 games of bingo, a name that tune quiz appropriate for the age group 60/75. After party dances at 10 o clock it was " New Years Eve" with balloons , party poppers and complimentary mince pies and champagne. In conclusion we found the hotel clean and tidy but in need of updating, the food basic but good tor the price paid. (£65.00 D.B.B. for 2)

We didn't stay at The Queens, just had a meal there one night. It looked so promising from the outside but once inside we were amazed to see all the Christmas decorations out (middle of October). It got worse when we went to the restaurant. As soon as we had sat down our nice green napkins were taken off us and replaced with ones with holly on. Christmas crackers were on each table. The food was average, nothing special at all and it just seemed very depressing to see all the decorations out so early. We asked for a jug of water but were told they didn't do jugs, we could only have a glass (very strange). The wine waiter went round each table before then going to get the drinks so by the time our bottle of wine arrived we were well into the meal. Any later and I would have refused to pay for it. Decor was very dull and the staff seemed to be as depressed as we felt!

Please, October is too soon for Christmas festivities
