This is a B&B that all others should be compared with. From the first time we went through the door to when we left,we were given the best of everything. From the spotlessly clean bedroom to the excellent breakfast.Simply the BEST.

Room Tip: Room number 2 is absolutely lovely with a sea view

We stopped at Ascot house on the spur of the moment hoping they would have a room available. We could not have had a warmer welcome from the owners and nice hot cup of tea too. The room was lovely and extremely clean and tastefully decorated. We had a double room on the top floor Room 7. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was very well cooked and plenty of it. The hotel was located on a side street two minutes away from the sea front, shops and theatre. We would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Our 6th wedding anniversary was on 24th June, so after managing to save up and bag ourselves a babysitter, we booked Ascot House for two nights.

What struck me on arrival, was how beautifully maintained the property is, both inside and out. The professionalism displayed by the owners too was absolutely outstanding. We were warmly welcomed and our luggage taken to our room for us by our hosts. We were offered tea or coffee and shown to the lovely sitting area adjacent to the dining room. All very much welcomed after a good two hour drive through wind, fog and torrential rain!

It may sound small, but the fact that our hostess wore a uniform and was extremely polite and personable really made a huge difference for us. The effort this couple have gone into making this B & B work is wonderful and it completely shows.

We were in room 4 at the top of the guest house. It was spacious (for us), extremely clean and beautifully appointed. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided, as well as a small flat screen TV with freeview. We had the telly on in the morning when we were getting ready and at night just before we went to bed. In a lovely place like North Wales, you don't come to watch the telly!

Fresh towels were provided and clean tea cups and saucers were also placed in our rooms each day.

The breakfast was a thing of beauty. I didn't know whether to eat it or frame it. It's probably because I'm a Merseysider-come-Yorkshire lass so I'm a bit used to stuff being slopped on a plate, but this was lovely. The sausages were absolutely gorgeous, as was the bacon. No cheap rubbish bought by the plastic bag load here. I even took a picture of it to share on here. It really did taste as nice as it looked! There is also cereal, yogurt and fruit available to help yourself to and a variety of fresh juices.

It is a guest house for adults only, which is really excellent, especially if you are having a couple of nights away from the kids! Definitely a winning factor for us.

Llandudno itself is probably about 10-15 minutes walk away from the guest house, which is fine really as it give you the oppertunity to walk along the front and gaze up at the orme as you trog into town.

I can't fault a moment of our stay. The couple who run it are hard working, professional, thoughtful and clearly enjoy what they do, despite how much hard work it must be. I would certainly stay again and would easily recommend this to anyone.

Ascot House in Llandudno is a lovely little retreat. The proprietors are very friendly and make you feel welcome. They also provide excellent service and are happy to help out no matter what the request. However, it is the cleanliness of the room and bathroom that really set this place apart. The whole place is spotless and is a mark of how much effort is put in to make the guest feel welcome. A lovely place and great hosts.
