We found this on Late Rooms and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. We were made to feel like old friends returning instead of first timers. Anita was so welcoming and friendly, we immediately felt at home. The rooms were lovely (we got shown the others) and I know which one I shall be asking for next time! We had intended having fish & chips that evening but the menu sounded so appetising and such good value that we stayed in for it and were we glad we did! Excellent fresh home cooking, we'll be back for the crumble!

We were welcomed by Anita with fresh coffee when we arrived. She gave us a very friendly welcome. The room is very clean and tidy. A bit on the small side but very nice. Breakfast was very nice and again Anita was very helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend Ascot House.

We found this hotel on the Internet as we were looking for accomodation whilst we were guests at a wedding. The hosts were so helpful that they allowed us to check-in early so that we could get ready for the wedding. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean and would put many of the larger hotels to shame. We would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again in the future.

This B and B is so lovely- the owners are so welcoming and had to come on her to write a review. Breakfast was lovely and room was a nice size and exceptionally clean- we have stayed in 5 star hotels and they have not been as clean as this B and B. not loud at night and bed was very comfortable. The owners even offered to book us a resturant for our evening meal as we said we didnt know where to go for some nice food. Very welcoming and lovely to have a cup of tea after a 2 hour journey at 10.30pm. plus plenty of on street parking- we would def be re-visiting!

We stayed here for 2 nights during the bank holiday. Used this as a base to travel to other parts of North Wales. It was a pleasant stay. Host was friendly. Breakfast was good. Although you have to walk a bit of a way to town, it is perfectly located, as it is quiet and not far from the beach.

The 7 bedrooms at Ascot House have been fully refurbished and this is Nick and Anita's first full season as the host/owners. The property is more like a 15 to 20 minute walk from the town centre and pier than the 10 mins the previous reviewer states. However, the property does have the advantage of free and unrestricted parking outside on the road. Buses into town are every 5 minutes during the day and a Taxi fare is around the £3 mark so the location is not really a problem. The road is reasonably quiet and I enjoyed 2 very good nights sleep.
The rooms are spotlessly clean and Anita's extra touches in the rooms with quality linen, cushions and curtains etc are evident and make the rooms as warm and as bright as their welcome. The seating area and water feature at the front are a great addition and make the property stand out from the neighbouring competition.
Breakfast was very good served in comfortable and bright surroundings. We did not experience the evening meal but from the menu feel sure that it would have been good value for £12.50.
Ascot House was almost excellent but for a couple of minor and perhaps personal observations: I have no problems selecting a time for Breakfast but I am not sure that being asked to select what you want for breakfast the night before is not a just a little regimented. I have a total 100% loathing of metal teapots and packets of butter etc. Ceramic teapots and pots of butter make a breakfast table extra special and I believe the effort is worth it. Overall good value for money and I would stay there again inspite of the horrible metal teapots !

The B&B is in a good location, close to the waterfront and a ten minute level walk from the centre of town. The house is newly decorated; furniture and furnishings are in excellent condition and perfectly clean. Our hostess (Anita) was friendly, helpful and keen to please, and our hosts provided a lovely home-cooked dinner at a very reasonable price for us on one evening.

We had a double room (room 7) on second level, which was quite compact and had a view over unkempt backyards to the rear, but was comfortably furnished. The one negative for this accommodation was the bathroom, which was unheated, had a low raked ceiling, and a small shower which had low water pressure and flow.

Overall, friendly and welcoming; spotlessly clean but bathroom not to the standard of the rest of the establishment.
