Whilst the hotel has seen better days, the location, staff service and Micks breakfasts are unbeatable
The first of my many visits was on business, I was so well treated by particularly Mick and Margaret, that I started also visiting socially accompanied by my wife.
Eat in the hotel restaurant or go to any of the nearby various choice of restaurants, walk along the seafront, or go to a show, all are within easy reach.
If you want value for money and staff who look after you, itsworth a call.

This is old-skool Llandudno, and in ways one never expected. Quite simply, this hotel must be most often frequented by those at the end of their lives, and our stay seemed to have been livened up by the appearance (through each night of our stay) of ghosts. What began as an alarming prospect soon turned into the most exciting thrill of a week ever, as fellow guests compared notes over breakfast each morning. Cooked breakfasts were excellent, with possibly the most immaculate fried eggs ever conjured. Proprietor was a charming chap with a blue Irish twinkle in his eyes, who was willing to much-in with guests and share the contents of the bar after a certain hour, with plenty of revelry all-round. Excellent views of the bay, but only gripe was the terrible shower systems, which had been left-over from the Teddy Boy era, hence their hardy aesthetic. One for Yvette Fielding.

The staff at this hotel were the most unfriendly I have ever come across, completely unwelcoming from start to finish, this may have been because we were younger than the other guests (who averaged over 80) and they thought we were going to be noisy but we weren't at all. The hotel is dated and has loads of adverts for wheelchairs everywhere. They tried to charge for breakfast even though we had ordered through late rooms where it was not offered. Would not stay here again.

I found the place poorly run, and not very friendly. Rooms were average, but dirty. Not the most pleasant experience, there are far better in llandudno.

Myself and friends spent a wonderful weekend in the Shelbourne , a real old prominade hotel in llandudno. It is a bit faded but a more welcome place you wont find. It has a great family run hotel atmosphere and the rooms are nicely sized and very clean. Right on the prom and parking at the rear is very handy in a beautiful little town. Local knowledge and directions regarding bars, restaurants and sightseeing from the staff were spot on. Great spot for relaxing and touring. Unfortunately never had the breakfast ,too busy having a lie in. Maybe next time . Highly recommend the Shelbourne/ llandudno experience.

Although a little on the faded side, archaic lift and shower controls that would challenge a nuclear physicist the hotel is great value for money. Right on the front with a car park to the rear and a great Welsh breakfast. Why can't most small hotels aspire to this.

The meals in this hotel are EXCELLENT!!!, all freshly cooked to a very high standard and quality that even the 4-5 star hotels would find hard to match. All the staff are very friendly and obliging, I can highly recommend this hotel.!!!!
