I recently stayed there the food was good and the staff very helpfull but the cleanelyness of the shower especially the tray and the out side if the tray needed steam cleaning as it was black and a spon was left for 3 days on the tray which we had used the pool was unbelievable with tiles loose paper and rubbish in so called lockers a joke the changing rooms were disgusting and desperrately need refurbishing the paont work was scuffed and on some walls needed seeing to if you have an allergy to birds dont go there as they have parrots in reception if only they paid more attension to detail especially in the bathrooms and sort out the pool area it would be a pleasure to stay there

Room Tip: go for the first floor

Had a good time at this hotel--Friday to Sunday.Breakfasts were good & two evening meals also included in the deal were ok.The hotel staff were excellent and very friendly. The swimming pool, although a bit rundown.was good but the changing rooms were rundown and in need of refurbing. We had a fantastic night of singing and comedy in the ballroom, in the basement, with the owner "Crystal Balls" doing a fabulous " risque" drag act.He was very professional and extremely funny.---All in all a good weekend and good value for the money. The on street parking wasn't too bad and the rear carpark ,which is quite small, seemed to be full all the time.---It is only a short 5 minute walk to Llandudno Pier and the town.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front, where we were, were good, although the seagulls squawking in the morning were a n...

The Risboro Hotel is in a quite location, although not on the sea front it is very central for all amenities in the resort. On arrival one of the owners got onto the coach and welcomed us to the hotel and then told us all we wanted to know. The check in was very smooth and the hotel provided all porterage, which was a great asset.

We had a very nice room very large with a large television, tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom was small considering the size of the room, shower was slow to what we are used to. Again you cannot please everybody, the mattress was too soft for us as we are used to a hard bed.

The food was good and basic for the price we got more than we expected, roast every night with roast and boiled potatoes and two veg, with two other choices and a vegetarian option, the starter was soup with two other choices and desert had three options as well. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty for everybody and as much as you could eat, there was not a continental option. The only comment here was that the bacon and beans were not very hot.

There was a lounge bar in a very large comfortable lounge; downstairs was a ballroom with an entertainer every night unfortunately Miss Crystal Balls was not on the bill for our stay. Drink prices were high but not unusual for hotels but in some cases cheaper than the local bars.

The hotel had a nice 45 foot pool and quite wide, there is no life guard on duty, but there is CCTV monitoring. It is good while there are not a load of boisterous kids in it throwing balls about and inconsiderate use, if it was seen on CCTV nothing was done about it. There was a Grandmother with two under 7 grandsons who found it difficult for them to swim with the other kids about and encouraged by their parents to fool about.

Most of the hotel is disabled friendly the lift goes down to the ballroom, access for wheelchairs to the pool is down the car park entrance and in by the back door, otherwise it’s through the dining room and down the back stairs. Pool towels can be obtained at reception.
The hotel is dated but very clean, there were clean towel every day in the room and it was serviced daily tea and coffee was replenished.

The hotel itself could do with a lick of paint as it is dated. If we did go back to Llandudno we would stay here again and would recommend it to other travellors

Room Tip: Have 2nd floor rom facing the road

The hotel was amazing, we had a wonderful time: excellent food, good bedrooms, amazing location. Even though i have a rated it 5 starts i have to admit that the rooms were far too hot on a summer night, we struggled to get to sleep some nights because of the heat. As well as that the pool closed a bit early, i would have preferred to have a swim at night when it is quiet. But other that that it was a very nice hotel, and i hope to return to the risboro hotel again sometime!!!
xD

Room Tip: Do not get a room opposite the pool area, all you can hear is seagulls all night, get a room at the...

I just came back from my second visit to this hotel this year.
Upon arrival I was greeted by the staff who helped me with my dogs whilst I brough my luggage and the dogs beds up from the car park.
My room was clean tidy and I enjoyed the tea & complimentry coffee provided in my room.
I had dinner on both of my evenings in the hotel and thought the food was very good value.
Breakfast was excellent with a self service buffet of fruit porrsge toast cereals and at least 8 hot items for the cooked selection.
Entertainment on both evenings was fab with a caberet style.
I laughed so much at the wit and antics of the drag act and was amazed at all the changes of costume throughout the performance. Both singers harmonized well together and it was clear they were having fun entertaining us.
Bar staff and waiters were friendly and always smiling. Reception staff have 3 lovely parrots on hand to greet guests at the front desk and it was lively to see how much these birds ment to all of the staff.
My overall impression was great value for money and warm and friendly. I am booking again in September for a charity fashion night which I attended in 2013 and thoroughly enjoyed also.
Location is walking distance to all the shops and sea front and also to the Great Orm.

Staff were fantastic, restaurant menu basic but very good quality and service. Room serviced daily with usual facilities but could have been cleaner on arrival. Hotel is very well situated for all that Llandudno has to offer. Would definitely go again.
