We had booked a classic double room for a hree night weekend break. Upon arrival we asked about the possibility about an upgrade to a sea view room but unfortunately for us (fortunately for the hotel) the hotel was fully booked. We were however offered a sea view room for our third night which we declined as it had meant having to move all our luggage. Our allocated room was very nice with a king size bed and plenty of room to move about and plenty of storage room. Without us asking for it and without us being asked we were allocated a room for disabled access. This may have accounted for the extra space. However the bathroom layout was a bit disconcerting for two people who are relatively tall. The sink was at a lower level (our 8 year old grandson would have loved it) which meant we had to bend down when using the sink. The toilet was raised (not really a bad thing) but had no toilet lid as a fitted back cushion would not allow for this. So we were left looking at a toilet bowl every time we used the low level sink. As the hotel was fully booked we could not ask for another room :(. The WifFi never worked in our room although it worked perfectly in the restaurant. Reception tried to fix this on the first day of our arrival but then forgot to follow it up and when I mentioned it again on day 3 they were surprised that it hadn't been fixed. There was a big wedding on the weekend we stayed so all the staff were busy with the wedding party and guests. We felt a bit like a 3rd wheel. The hotel itself is very nice, warm and clean. No doubt if we had stayed when they were not fully booked we would have received more attention and probably the high standard of service that we expected based on other guests reviews. The hotel is in a lovely location right by the promenade and views across the bay and to the Great Orme are fantastic. There is also quick and easy access to the town centre with a great selection of shops. Parking was a bit of a struggle on the second night because of the wedding party and we had to park in one of the nearby sidestreets.

Room Tip: Rooms facing front entrance (not sea view) will be good. There is not a lot of traffic and the wind...

Well a mix review stemming clearly from the bathroom facilities being designed for disabled access. The rate charged was for our lowest standard room though you kindly pointed out it was large with a king size bed and good views an advantage, if there had been an alternative room we would have offered a move.
Finally you balanced your remarks and thank you and if ever visiting North Wales again please contact me directly so I may ensure a warm welcome and enjoyable stay
kind regards

Bless the internet search machine, I got a standard room for a fraction of the list price. The room was spacious and clean, all the fixtures and fittings were in good order. In house restaurant was adequate and breakfast was well cooked and efficient. The location could not be any more central, right by the sea and in the middle of town. I would look out for great offers and stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with sea view.

We have just returned from a wonderful 2 night break at this excellent hotel. The room was lovely and the staff were the friendliest we have encountered for some time. When we were shown to our table last night in the restaurant there was even a birthday card waiting for me. Food is excellent and we will be returning in the future.
Thank you to everyone at St George's for making our stay special and memorable.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 323 and would recommend this room sea and mountain views

We were able to check in early, simple quick efficient and friendly: We were meeting up with friends at the hotel who had had booked a disabled room for us ,what a lovely room, plenty of room, everything you needed. Hubby uses an electric wheelchair and he managed with no problem.(we even secured a parking space right outside the hotel) A good TV, plenty of storage AND NICELY FURNISHED. Windows a little high for my hubby to view the Orm and sea-front though! We were even lucky with the weather to enjoy plenty of fresh air and hit the shops and cafe's.
The wet room though got very wet, as needs the floor better angled to reduce the whole bathroom getting wet, and slipping risk for those who are assisting, a squeedgy mop would help (did give this info to reception on check-out)
It was so nice to have the disabled room away from lift and stairs so we didn't get disturbed by others returning to rooms.
Had an evening meal on 1st night, had wonderful food,(scallops were to die for, as was the lamb) all served in a friendly efficient manner washed down with a lovely house wine
Breakfast the next morning was served in the sea view terrace bar (as were all our meals as my hubby unable to use the little stair lift to dining room ) We felt very exclusive. The female waitress did a wonderful job especially in a morning, what a joy she was.The choce and quality was fantastic.
We spent time relaxing in the quiet areas in the evening on lovely comfy sofas, The hotel was being diligently being decorated for Christmas during our stay and was looking beautiful. Wanted the guy to come to ours and do mine!!
The service was impeccable at all times, yes drinks were a premium price, but the surroundings and quiet and calm atmosphere was worth every penny.
It's a beautiful historic hotel, so yes the floors creak, could do with a lick of paint here n there but it's the staff who make the stay what it was, they work hard to deliver good service in every department. A pool would have made it perfect for me! Will return again and take my parents when a little warmer.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review and especially pleased that you felt we had worked hard to deliver good service in all departments.
However more importantly, that you and your husband were able to enjoy your stay, we have invested a great deal in our facilities and it is so encouraging to read how the team were so welcoming and you both could just simply relax.
Martin who is our Mr. Tinsel, has 'volunteered' for many years to produce a lovely and welcoming Christmas for our guests and team and will appreciate your kind words.
The best is you will look forward to returning to St George's and we will ensure a warm welcome on your return.
Our very best wishes.

A lovely 2 night relaxing weekend break for myself and my wife, staying in a sea view room overlooking the promenade and pier. The room was of a very good standard, spotless and with all the facilities we required.
What made our stay most enjoyable was all of the smiling, helpful, and friendly staff, from those in reception, the restaurant in which we ate on both nights where both the service, food, and setting and views were all excellent, and also the staff at breakfast, and throughout the hotel. The hotel is in an great location to visit Llandudno, and with all the facilities of a major hotel in an relaxing atmosphere, and is certainly somewhere we would look forward to returning to again.

Room Tip: The views from the sea view room at the front of the hotel were excellent.

we stayed as a family of four rooms 121 & 122 (Fri & Sat). we come here year after year after & last yr were unfortunate to complain after wedding guests banging on the bedroom doors in the early hours. however, our concerns were dealt with in writing and a phone call from Mr Burns & I am so glad we came back this year. the rooms were beautiful/food stunning especially the rib eye steaks & sticky toffee pudding (my fathers favourite) breakfast is a superb/hot selection & sets you up for a walk up the orme. the staff were extremely helpful & reception very attentive to guests needs. all I would say to other guests who have issues during their stay is to raise their concerns with management and give them chance to sort it before writing your review on this site.

Relaxing 3 night break dinner b&b as part of an organised dance week-end 15-18/11.Apart from one isolated incident staff were pleasant and helpful particularly as parking was at a premium with such a large group of 80 people and cars had to be double parked. But staff were well organised and on hand to move the cars around when we came to leave. Rooms good with lovely bathroom. We had exclusive use of the ballroom which was impressive featuring Wedgwood panels. Meals ,particularly breakfast were good quality and there was plenty of choice.(Full English, kippers, smoked haddock with poached egg etc..)We had a lovely afternoon tea in the lounge overlooking the bay.The hotel is ideally sited right on the front and we had a pleasant walk up to the Great Orme. The town centre is on the doorstep and there was a pleasant and popular Christmas market.

Room Tip: The rooms at the front of the hotel have the best views. The first few rooms on the first floor 101...

Thank you for taking the time to review and am pleased to read you enjoyed your dance weekend.
I would have to agree how our Wedgwood Room is ideal for such a dance event and hope there will be another opportunity for your group to return and ''keep on dancing''.
