“Superb Hotel”
Reviewed 7 May 2013

We visited this hotel at the weekend booked in for the Victorian Extravaganza. We arrived early about 11.00 a.m. as wanted to park the car for the week end - we just let Deb know we had arrived but she informed us our room was ready which was wonderful.
The room was wonderful - we booked the room with a bath and the little extra touches like bottles of water by the bed, DVD player - lovely toiletries were really lovely. Breakfast was superb and probably one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had.
Looking forward to booking up again probably for the Extravaganza again as we had a really enjoyable weekend.

My wife and I spent three wonderful nights in this establishment. The hosts are a delightful couple who could not be more helpful. Our room was very clean and pleasant with a high ceiling and large bay window overlooking the quiet Abbey Rd. The furniture and soft furnishings were of excellent quality.

The guest house has a decent car park at the rear and plenty of parking on road. Town is a short walk and here you can find a plentiful supply of good places to eat and drink.

We have often stayed in very good accommodation in Llandudno but this place is a bit special. Try it!

Room Tip: Room 1. Large and bright.

Arrived stressed, tired and burnt out, left feeling refreshed, relaxed and very, very content. There's something about Llandudno that oozes tranquillity and this hotel plays a big part in this. The areas so peaceful and the hosts are so friendly and welcoming that you can't help but chill out. The roaring fire and a nightcap completes the picture. Great breakfast set you up for a bracing walk around the orme or into Deganwy.

Room Tip: Room 5 and 3 are the biggest rooms.

We arrived on a very cold Good Friday to a roaring fire and a warm welcome from Debbie. Within 15 minutes we were booked into our room and sat in front of the fire with a welcome cup of tea and Welsh cake. This is our third visit to the Bryn Derwen our room was to high spec for furnishings and cleanliness. The replenished water and chocolates plus the luxury tioiletries are always welcome. The breakfasts are cooked to your taste and we like the time for breakfast 8.30 til 9am enough time for a lie in.We have tried other B&Bs in Landudno but none come up to this standard. We will definately be back at last we have found the perfect place to stay off the main busy parade but near enough to be on the sea front in 5 minutes. Its the extra touches that make this a wonderful place . On Easter Sunday all guests came down to breakfast to an easter egg at our place setting.

Room Tip: We had room1 on front of house lovely light and airy. very quiet

Arrived to a warm coal fire burning, given welsh cakes and a pot of tea whilst our luggage was taken to our room (Room 3 with sitting area and rich red and gold colours). The owners Debbie and Steve are warm and friendly. The main sitting room had current magazines and the settees comfortable. A new bar for drinks and fruit hard boiled sweets to hand. The car park is small but in February (even though it was half-term in Wales) there was plenty of places to park on Abbey road.
Thick white towels and dressing gown with Taylor of London toiletries (which were fantastic as I have dry skin). Complimentary bottles of water and lime water with tea (herbal too), coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits all replenished daily with a box of 2 chocolates placed in the room daily. The communal rooms were kept spotless and so was our room. The television in the room had Freeview channels - so lots to watch when relaxing in the 2 comfortable armchairs. Plenty of warm heating and hot water whatever the time of day or evening. The double bed was comfortable with 2 pillows each and another was in the wall-drobe if needed, as well as a blanket. There is also a hairdryer for use too.
Tbooklet of where to stay was extremely helpful in arranging where to eat whilst in Llandudno.
Breakfast is early 8.30-9am but this made us get up and explore the beautiful area. Breakfast had a vast choice of 7 cereals and 6 fruits with natural yoghurt plus 2 choices of fruit juice. A full cooked welsh breakfast was plentiful with toast. Steve cooked it perfectly. We had a brilliant time and would definitely stay again.

We had an excellent stay. Hotel on a nice, quiet street only a short walk from the main high street and the two beaches. Hotel has parking which can be difficult in Llandudno. Welcomed with fresh coffee and Welsh cakes. Rooms spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast cooked to perfection. Even gave us a free lift to a local restaurant to save our legs.

My Wife and I stayed at Bryn Derwen over the August bank holiday weekend and had a fantastic time. The hosts Debbie & Steve put everything they've got into making their guest house the best it can possibly be. The room was gorgeous, well equipped and spotless. Breakfast was cooked to our personal tastes, just right every time. Debbie & Steve were helpful and knowledgeable concerning local places to eat, drink and special events and made us feel at home.
