Stayed here for one night.... Booked on line £55 for 3 of us in a family room with breakfast... All I can say is everything was excellent... Room obviously been recently refurbished.. Infact everything looked new... Also think I had my best ever shower here.. Lol.. .carpet had a couple of staines.. But that's just being picky. Breakfast was very good... Lots of choice... Next time in Llandudno this is the place I will be staying...

The hotel is situated on the promenade of the town of Llandudno and is a few minutes away from the Great Orme Tramway. Very disappointed at the fact that the hotel has very few Welsh employees.

Parking is quite a problem, however we were told that the hotel had a car park available. However, a three-car parking space at the back of the building is not a car park. When we asked the reception about the car park, she was very rude and mean at us because we couldn't find where the car park was.

The room was quite small, the beds were relatively comfortable, bathroom was very clean but the room had no Wi-Fi reception.

The breakfast was ok. The breakfast room has very limited space.

Overall the hotel was ok, but I'm sure you could find better.

Thank you for choosing to stay at The Iris and for taking the time to write review about your stay .I am sorry that you didn't read the hotel web site before you book the hotel , you can see there some hotel information as:
Parking is free at the front of the hotel (promenade) between 16:00 and 10:00 every day. Outside of these hours, it costs GB 3.
or
Free! WiFi is available in public areas and is free of charge.
I would like to say that I very much appreciate your comments regarding car parking. It is well known that the historic layout of the Promenade area, but there is very reasonably priced parking available on the Promenade, or in the multi-storey nearby. It is very nice to read your informative feedback in this regard.
Regarding the breakfast area the only thing I can say is that we have the breakfast time hours from 8am-to 10am and are 45 seats in the dinning room and the hotel accommodate 70 people ,so in two hours time everybody can manage to have their breakfast , we do apologies if you didn't feel comfortable with this .
Our hotel is a international hotel and we receive bookings from ll over the world , so this is the reason we do have foreign staff working for us,they are very nice young people ,wishing to help us and our gust , also we give them the possibility to learn our language and traditions

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Iris and hope the sun is still shining where you are, as it is here!

No flexi on checking in time.3pm. Our room was in the basement where the dinner was. It was impossible to open window to let fresh air in, but the room was well presented and clean. Car parking at the rear of the hotel was very tight. Breakfast was presented and the waiting staff were friendly and polite. We had booked in for 2 nights with evening meal included in the price. There was no evening entertainment and I don't think the bar was open as that was also in the basement with the dinning room. The off-putting thing in the dinning room was the fish tank which was very dirty and not well looked after. The evening meal was average as I had a steak which was served with a few chips and rabbit leaves. The soup was of a can variety and the cake was shop bought.
Would I return to the hotel? Sorry to say its NO.

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at The Iris

I was delighted that you found the staff on Waiting on, to be friendly and helpful.

I was however, concerned to learn of your experience in the restaurant. We do receive a great deal of positive feedback regarding the quality of dining at the hotel, and your encounter certainly does not reflect our usual high standards. Please be assured that I have conveyed your comments to our Executive Chef, and apologies for any disappointment felt.

With regards to the Entertainment , the only thing i can say is that The Iris Hotel is a quit hotel( for families and old people also couples) this is the reason that we don't do any entertainment and the Bar opening hours are just 5pm-10pm , also if you go around the corner you can find lots of pubs and entertainments places just 2 minutes away from our hotel.
at you would stay at the hotel again. I do hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to the Imperial, and thank you once again for your valued feedback.

Thank you again for staying with us.

We stayed one night in a sea view deluxe room. The room was on the fourth floor which gave us some exercise as the lift seemed very slow to respond . The sparkling wine on arrival was a lovely welcome touch. The room was spotless and although the shower door was a little stiff and the controls slightly complex it all worked. The fresh fruit at breakfast was lovely and service speedy. The cooked breakfast was fine. We've stayed elsewhere in Llandudno before and this was cleaner, more welcoming and pleasant. We didn't try the bar or restaurant and certainly wouldn't have wanted entertainment. We'd be very happy to stay again if we had to visit Llandudno. Parking on the street was fine and free overnight and easy enough to find in the evening . Well worth considering if visiting Llandudno.

Thank you for choosing to stay at The Iris for your weekend break, and for taking the time to write such a lovely and detailed review.

I was delighted to read how much you enjoyed your stay. In particular, I refer to your comments regarding our location, your accommodation and experience of both dinner and breakfast in our restaurant. It is always such a pleasure to convey reviews like yours to the team and I thank you for your kind words.

I would like to say that I very much appreciate your comments regarding car parking. It is well known that the historic layout of the Promenade area in general limits car parking space at the hotel. We endeavour to accommodate as many people as possible in our car park, but you are quite correct that there is very reasonably priced parking available on the Promenade, or in the multi-storey nearby. It is very nice to read your supportive and informative feedback in this regard.

Almost put off by negative reviews but found everything faultless from friendly welcome to check out ,would certainly book again.
Car parking is an issue but we stayed on a Sunday prior to Bank Holiday Monday and found free overnight space on promenade.

Room Tip: We had no complaint with our room in main hotel building
