This hotel was absolutely appauling, the staff clearly had no training as they were awful, there was trails of dog poo all the way up to room 11, the staff were rude and intimidating, and also mimicked my husband, STAY WELL CLEAR

Didn't start off too well, we found the lift was not working when we stepped into it to go to our room on the 4th floor. Unfortunately my partner can't do stairs so we had to wait...and wait... while the engineer came from Liverpool to mend it. We were provide with tea and biscuits twice during this wait and I walked up the stairs, 8 flights, to put cases in room. He finally arrived about 8.30pm, and we got to our room 9.15pm!!! When we got settled in I found there were no supplies of tea, coffee, milk, sugar or even a kettle and no glasses in bathroom either. They were quickly brought up. No hand towels provided, just bath towels, which could be rather heavy for those with arthritis. No fabric bath mat, told they didn't do them, but the floor was slippy when wet. No instructions on how to use the elaborate shower. No shelf for toiletries in bathroom. Excellent wardrobe but hanging rail was very high and anyone under 5'4" couldn't reach the hangers!Lift a good size when working and easy for wheelchair users to get around the building. No ramp outside though and 5 steps to get to door to get in. Adequate breakfast but toaster very slow and reluctant to brown toast, had to put in twice - notices up not to alter settings!!Evening meal could be provided if you chose and ordered it by 5pm foe eating between 6pm and 8pm. We did this on our second night, food was excellent and good value 3 courses for £25 for two people.Beds were comfortable and we did have a sea view. Excellent service throughout, staff very polite and helpful. Would go again.

This is great place to stay if you want a mid week break at very reasonable prices. It's not perfect but very good value. We had B&B and a three course meal in the evening (optional extra)
for less than most hotels charge for just B&B. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Booked superior sea view room, lovely. Big bay window, modern furnishing and very nice en suite. Breakfast good. Only minor irk was that bar was closed at 21.45 when we returned from out meal out. Would we stay again, yes but would stay out longer.

Booked the Iris for ourselves and another couple who had been staying for a few days at The Grand. We had rooms 103, and 203 and both rooms were very clean with crisp white sheets and pillow cases, and the bed was indeed to singles pushed together, but they were good quality and we slept well. The shower was a bit of a pain, one of those with body jets, but it took all of five minutes to sort out. The bedside lamps had reading attachments, which didn't work in either room, but the lamps themselves worked fine. All the lights in the room could be operated from the headboard and there was a good flat screen tv and the room was well stocked with tea/coffee and toiletries.

We had an evening meal that was 3 course for £12.50 and good luck finding finding anywhere where you could get a better meal in Llandudno.

Breakfast was good, There was a buffet with cereals, fruit salad, yoghurt etc. and toast making facilities and the full english breakfast was good quality and although on a small plate, had a decent rasher of bacon, a sausage, egg, grilled tomato, mushrooms, hash brown and a small piece of fried bread. We couldn't have eaten more. The staff were pleasant and attentive and we would definitely book again. Our friends paid double at The Grand and couldn't believe how good the Iris was in comparison. You get what you pay for usually, but we all agreed in the case of our stay at The Iris, we got a bargain!

Room Tip: Although they were much cheaper, I really would not choose a room in the annexe. There were a couple of parking spaces in the rear of the hotel, but unless you can sneak through the car park of the Craig y don, which we did inadvertently, access via Imperial Passage, was very tight.
