Really like this very well maintained listed building and pleased it's still put to use just a shame it's not put to great use.
Food typical budget chain standard with the same standard service but in this one felt a real lack of good staff training/supervision/management - would say worth a visit for a breakfast and a look at the great old building with plenty of character - fair price not greatest quality of food but fills a gap and is good overall value on the breakfast menu but not so great on the rest of the food.
fair prices on drinks and very good bar range so also good for a pint or two - if you can get served - it can take them sometime to serve you if a few are waiting - partly the slow system the staff have to use and partly the slow staff service.

Been to lots of Weatherspoons all over the country and whilst the building is really good it's a shame the staff and food arn't as good. During our stay in Llandudno we visited Weatherspoons, thought we would give it the benefit of the doubt. On both occasions, the tables hadn't been cleared, the floor was littered with food, crisp packets, cutlery and all manner of things. Second visit, we ordered food, the men in our group got theres, my soup was only tepid and the type of bread was wrong and when I mentioned it to the waitress it seemed too much trouble to change the bread, and when I found the soup was cold a young gentleman said that he would get it changed which eventually he did, in the meantime the grumpty waitress brought the bread that had been originally ordered. By this time the rest of my party had eated their meals - so I ate alone!
I agree with the other review the building is exceptional as a lot of Weatherspoons tend to be, but I will miss this one like the plague if I go back to Llandudno.

Wetherspoons are noted for refurbishing old buildings but this one is exceptional. The Paladium has been converted from a theatre to a pub/restaurant in a very sympathetic way. A lot of the origional fittings ar still in place. You walk in the entrance off Gloddaeth street into a small dining area, then downstairs to where the stalls would have been into the main dining area. To the left is the food and bar, to each side are the boxes, all with eluminated charactors in them. Behind you are the circle and balcony still contaning the origional seating, this would look great if was illumated and in front of you upstairs onto the stage containing more tables. The food is of the usual Wetherspoons standard, good value and hearty. The staff were all very friendly and helpfull. Well worth a visit if only to look at the inside
