This hotel was the high point of the summer for us, as we had a very short time to really relax and enjoy some luxury. The staff, who worked as a team, created a great atmosphere which made us feel welcome and really well 'looked-after'. The room was charming; Unusually, the bed was very comfortable, not always the case in hotels, but something we find very important. We loved the decor, and the Alice-in-Wonderland feel of the place. Food and wine were excellent and we look forward to trying the swimming pool. This hotel was a great find for us, and we look forward very much to returning.

This was a return visit for a long weekend and it was lovely. We have two children under three with dairy allergies and the staff were very helpful in providing the soya and oat based milk and butter alternatives and preparing dishes for the children with them. The staff at St Tudnos are always friendly, polite and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. There is also a baby listening service so parents can dine together after the little ones are asleep. The food is really excellent - prepared using top quality ingredients, local where possible. The homemade biscuits in the room are delicious too - they kept refilling the tin, and I kept eating them! The family room was ideal for our purposes - a queen-size bed master and a small side room with a single bed and cot for the children. The bed was exceptionally comfortable - and I say this as someone with back problems, and the sheets were beautifully soft. Bathroom very small, but adequate with a good shower and the children loved the whirlpool bath. The pool is small and basic, but as there is rarely more than one family in at any one time, it is lovely to have a private pool! Some other reviewers have complained that the decor is dated, but we liked the fin-de-siecle style and the family atmosphere that pervades. Oh, and the location is just superb. Will definately return.

Room Tip: Book a back room if you want to dine after young children are in bed - then your baby monitor will w...

Our first stay here, and from the moment we stepped into the hotel, the staff were friendly, warm and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was perfectly adequate, with Freeview TV, hairdryer, en suite, Wi Fi and remote control air conditioning unit - a real bonus. The tea and coffee was topped up regularly, and we loved the home made biscuits.
The hotel is decorated in an older, traditional style, which we like. I note some comments regarding the fact that the hotel is "dated", but this is what we liked about it. We loved the fact that pictures of Mr Bland's beautiful daughters, and his late wife decorated the walls. The dining room is a feast to the eyes, with beautiful panels depicting beautiful scenery.
We enjoyed breakfast immensely - a lot of choice, and we weren't disappointed with any of our choices. The quality of the food was excellent - and the service from the staff was second to none. They took the time to chat with us, as did the owner, Martin Bland. We also loved the fact that it was small dog friendly, and all in all it was such a relaxed atmosphere.
We checked out and returned for Sunday lunch, which was just wonderful. I only wish I could have seen the chef to compliment him/her - we couldn't fault any aspect of the food presented to us over the course of the weekend.
We shall definitely be returning. If I had to have a tiny critiscism, it would be the prices of the items in the mini-bar. £2.25 for a small tub of pringles, and £5 for a miniature Vodka - needless to say we didn't partake, which is a shame, as the prices are just too off putting, and in all, we felt that they didn't need to be that high.
However, that aside, the hotel was delightful, and we shall definitely be returning. Well done to all, it really was a pleasure staying at St Tudno, and a great location, just a minute's walk from the promenade and pier.

This is our 4th long weekend stay (4 nights this time) at this wonderful sea front hotel. As with every other visit the stay was absolutely enjoyable in every aspect. We took a family room this time (two rooms) which was spacious well appointed and clean. Our requirements for our two toddlers were met to the letter. The staff were as always friendly and ready to accommodate any request. The proprietor Martin Bland was once again the perfect host and the service from top to tail of this hotel is a credit to him. If you have small children and are a lover of fine food, then this hotel is really one you should experience. The evening dining is just superb, fresh local produce expertly prepared and presented with a –deservingly - awarding wining extensive selections of wines to complement. And you can eat whilst knowing you children are fine as they offer a listening service on top of your monitor. Breakfast is not served from troughs, but cooked to your liking at the time of arrival – all three courses of it! – including, a full cook breakfast, beautifully cooked haddock and poached egg and Kippers cooked just the way they should be. All in all a relaxing visit to Wales in a super hotel and my only niggle from last time is now no longer relevant – The hotel bar now serves local Welsh beer, enjoy one before your evening meal.

Sorry but despite the friendly staff, i had really high expectations and was greatly disappointed.
car park- only room for approx 6 cars
Rooms- dated, old fashioned and HOT! we booked room 12 and my sister booked room on same floor(can't remember which no) and we were all disappointed. overpriced at £100 a night!!
I feel that this hotel would suit the more mature guest who likes an old fashioned seaside hotel.
Food acceptable, nothing specail- again, old fashioned.
So sorry shan't be going back as they are other more modern hotels with nicer rooms such as osborne house, empire, sefton place, lynton...loads better.
Hotel staff are very professional and friendly though....
Come on, update your hotel!
Also, the swimming pool ....you have to walk ouside the side of the hotel and into a tin shed to use the pool and it looked filthy and chlorine levels were eye burning so didn't use it.

If we had paid about half the £100 per room per nite that we actually did pay, then this hotel would score 5 out of 5. However for the price, one should be entitled to expect much much more. The attic room was tiny and I banged my head on the low ceiling several times. One of the sash windows did not close properly and rattled all night as it was quite windy. Didn't eat dinner in the restaurant, but breakfast was nice on both days. Service very good on the first day and dreadfully slow on the second.
The hotel does have a lot of good points - the rooms and public areas are spotlessly clean, and the Molton Brown toiletries are a nice touch. The pool is obviously an added bonus although a bit tired looking. The lack of a night porter is not something you would expect in a so called luxury hotel.
The mini bar in the room is also a nice touch, but the prices are nothing short of extortionate. In particular a small tube of Pringles showing a price tag of 49p was on sale for £2.25! Very cynical, and needless to say we didn't partake.

All in all a quite nice hotel but I finf it hard to beleive that you couldn't stay in one of equal qualty in Llandudno for around half the price.

It was my elderly mother's first holiday for several years and all the staff went out of their way to make her stay a special one, from Receptionist Hayley's suggestion as to which rooms to book, the meals and staff in the restaurant, the help we were given with her wheelchair, etc. to the owner's enquiries that everything was done to our satisfaction. The rooms were comfortable and furnished to a high standard, with extra little touches such as bathrobes and Molton Brown toiletries, and the nightly "turn down" service was a lovely bonus, as it made the rooms very welcoming on our return in the evening. The location is excellent, right on the promenade opposite the pier, which enabled my mother to sit at the window and pass a pleasant hour or two "people watching"!

Room Tip: The Alice Suite plus Room 1 is ideal for 4 adults as they are adjoining and the suite's sitting...
