We visited on a hot Sunday afternoon, although well patronised the park was peaceful and a have from the nearby hustle and bustle of the pier.

A very well kept restful place, much appreciated after a walk down from the Orme. The ice-creams were delicious and very well deserved.

A short walk above the pier, this sheltered spot is a suntrap and often out of the wind. The picnic area is lovely and served with a cafe and toilets but the gem is the gardens which climb back and up into the Great Orme. Although steep in places there are many benches on which to rest and particularly on a quiet morning, the gardens are full of wildlife. A great spot for a quiet moment.

Most visitors to Llandudno miss this spot and it is worth coming for a stroll around. It is a bit of a climb from Marine Drive but you start off with great views of the pier. You can then climb higher and enjoy the Alpin gardens which are nicely planted and quite colourful at the moment although the trees block the views. There are many benches to break the climb and allow the visitor to sit for a while. The cafe is well placed to enjoy the panorama but the best view of all is had by climbing up behind the cable car to the camera obscura. From here you can see the whole bay, the West shore and the views to Snowdonia are unsurpassed.
