“Noisy bar keeps you awake”
Reviewed 17 January 2010

We booked one night at this hotel as a stop over for a weekend break and thank god it was only one night.. On arriving at the hotel we found it very nice and well located. We had booked a superior double room which was positioned both over the main entrance and the bar. The room was well furnished and had a four poster bed which was very comfortable. The en suite alas was not superior. A cheap mixer shower was installed which ran too hot then too cold. The fixtures and fittings were not existant ( we had nowhere to put our toiletries) and there were pubes in the bath !. The standard of cleaning in both bedroom and en suite were extremely poor, with dust everywhere and even sweet wrappers under our bed. But what took the biscuit was the noise we endured from the bar when we were in bed. We were still awake at 3:15 am as the noise was unbearable, then we found out it was the owners relatives that were making all the noise. We never received an apology although the owner knew we were not best pleased. Breakfast was average (nothing special) as this is served in the bar area, which is very cramped. There will be no repeat business from us. The following day for us was ruining, we had to resort to sleeping in a car park for an hour as we were so tired. Thanks for nothing Manor Hotel !!

We booked to stay here via www.bookings.com, for 6 people we booked the Penthouse suite for four of us and a double room for 2 others.

I had rang twice before arrival with questions about our stay and got a very good response from the manager Mark who was very helpful. The hotel itself if very nicely decorated and very clean, as noted by my very fussy friends the bed linen was white and clean.
We only stayed for one night to go to the Venue Cymru to watch a motown group 'how sweet it is' they were great and the hotel is about 5 mins away its the next block from the hotel.
We are all from North Wales and never stayed in Llandudno before (never needed to) we booked a hotel as a taxi home is too much for 6 of us, we were all pleasently suprised with Llandudno and the Hotel to be honest.
Last minute 1 of the group couldn't stay and we were not charged for a double room just for single, which i thought very good of them they do have a cancellation policy of 48 hour prior to arrival you have to pay full amount so we think this is a thumbs up for the hotel.

We ate at the hotel for our eveing meal and we all enjoyed it i had gammon chip peas mushrooms with 2 eggs for £9.75 and i got a free muffin when we returned after the show at 11.30pm because the kitchen was closed i was hungry and the manager said i could have it!! ( i dont think he does this for everyone but we did spend a lot at the bar)

We stayed in the bar till late and we were joined by the manager for a drink and found him very pleasent and helpful. 3 vodkas and coke and perno and black was about £9.50 which is not bad we thought.

The breakfest was a full english with toast, cereal, fruit juices, tea and coffee, again this was lovely.
My only moan and this is my pure lazyness is our room was on the top floor (with amazing views of the bay, pier, the great orme and cable cars) the stairs were steep and 3 stories high! so when you have had a drink like us we missed a few !!! if you have difficuties climbing stairs i would ask for a room on the ground floor.
Saying that if we were to return i would have to book the penthouse suite again just for the views brilliant!!

Just returned from a stay here, hotel is generally nice but we did not have a room with a sea view as we thought instead we had a side rrom with a view of the pub a stones throw away across the road, which had extreamly loud live entertainment on all night - obviously not the managers fault however if we had a front room which we asked for we wouldnt have had to listen to it all night.

Rooms clean and comfy and food nice, managers welcome and customer service leave little to be desired but hey u cant expect it all.

Would probably stay here again but will ensure we get a front facing room this time so we dont have to put up with the noise from the local pub.

The man who runs this hotel cannot be trusted with anyone's debit/credit card details.

Despite my having paid in full before staying he has decided to deduct a further £10 from my account. This was due to a dispute which arose with my travelling companion who was paying in cash. The hotel had been unable to provide a full breakfast when we needed it and because of this she deducted £10. from the bill. He clearly did not like this and so decided to deduct this amount from my account. Don't go there.

The guest had left our premises without paying their bill in full and having consulted the booking agent they booked through we were adcised to charge the balance to the credit card used to secure the booking. Nothing was don inappropriately apart from the guest walking out having not paid their bill in full.
