Was a bit apprehensive at first as this hotel was 'dog friendly' and we were leaving our two at home but the hotel was spotless not a dog hair in sight. We stayed in the room with the terrace which enabled us to make full use of the good weather and beautful views! Breakfast was excellent and so was the service - right down to the biscuits and water given to us on our departure for our journey home. The only downside was the bed wasn't the comfiest but this wouldn't deter me from staying again as it had so many pluses!

Room Tip: The room with the terrace was ideal for us as it allowed privacy as well as benefitting from the bea...

Friendly welcome for us and our pooch - good choice if you take your dog as they are made very welcome. Room had exceptional views of the bay and mountains to the background - however the room was very tiny and the bathroom even tinier - but as we were only there for the weekend it was fine. Breakfast was adequate. Ideal location for all amenities in Llandudno on foot - but it is a steep hill down and feels even steeper on the way up. For those wishing to visit the Great Orme the cable car is only about 100 yards or so away. If you wish to take the tram instead it is a leisurely ten minute walk away - would recommend going up the scenery is spectacular - we took our dog with us - cost £5.90 return for each of us and £1 for the dog. All in all a pleasant stay.

We have just returned from our two-night stay, and the dogs are sulking, they had such a great holiday-and so did we! The hotel owners are proper dog lovers, and they have their own super laid back lurcher Charles chilling around the place. The hotel itself is a wonderful place to stay, extremely clean and well presented, with beautiful little features and breathtaking views. Our two dogs appreciated the relaxed atmosphere of the hotel and the park right next to the hotel was very useful and convenient. The breakfast is delicious and served in a very pleasant room overlooking the bay. There were also plenty of places to eat locally with the dogs, and the West Shore beach welcomes dogs and is only a short walk away from the hotel. All in all, this hotel exceeds the expectations. We recommend it to all, and will return as soon as we can!

Room Tip: Sea view is terrific!

A very friendly welcome to humans and Harvey dog. Breakfast was a lovely home made step beyond the usual vegetarian alternatives. Fabulous sea views from our bedroom. Parking could have proven difficult given the many guests staying in the road but Ray had it under control. The owners dog is totally laid back and unobtrusive. We stayed for 5 nights and I could have done with a little more drawer space but we managed. The room and bathroom were serviced each day and completely clean. We would like to stay again some time.
Alice is the complete in house local information guide. :)
I have described our trip as family as it was us and dog.

Room Tip: The views from the front are amazing.

When it was first suggested to me that we should go bed & breakfast for our holiday I thought the usual run down, dirty place. However Headlands Hotel have changed my mind! Really pleasant stay in a clean room, good breakfast and really close to the attractions in Llandudno. Their are some reviews that complained about the owners dog and being overly dog friendly. Well the hotels website does mention that its a dog friendly place. If that causes a problem for some then why go there? During our last day there a guests dog was barking during breakfast but this was sorted out by the proprieter there and then, who had a quiet word with the owner of said pooch. The hotel is situated at the top of a steep climb but their is another route to it that skirts the Happy Valley park that isnt so steep. All in all a nice pleasant stay!

Booked this hotel at the last minute. Definately come up trumps with our choice. A friendly welcome made on our arrival. Our room overlooked the bay. I would say one of the best views in town and very near the Great Orme cable car. Lovely breakfast with good choices and ingredients. Would rate this hotel highly for a break away .

Room Tip: Request a sea view.

We received a courtesy call at home from the owners a couple of days before our stay to let us know about road closures associated with a festival which would be taking place in the town whilst we were there, suggesting the best alternative route to reach the hotel by skirting parts of the Town Centre. This attention to detail and high level of customer service continued on arrival and throughout our stay. Our case was taken from our car to our room by the owner who said it was all part of the service. The hotel nestles into the hillside directly above the pier and main attractions, providing panoramic views of the beautiful bay and stunning Victorian architecture. Directly behind the hotel is Happy Valley Park and a short walk away you can take a cable car to the top of The Great Orme. The room was bright, airy and clean and the en suite looked as if it had been newly refurbished and to a high standard. The public interior spaces reflect its Victorian origins with ornate darkwood staircases and wood lined walls covered in portraits and landscape paintings. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. Good place to stay if you want to be looked after and fussed over. Not all people do. However the number of repeat bookings they seem to achieve would tend to indicate that people do like it a lot.

Room Tip: Goes without saying, but Sea View.
