“Short break”
Reviewed 21 June 2013

Wanted somewhere to stay at short notice, as we wanted to see the laburnum arch at Bodnant gardens. Easy to find. At the top of a very steep hill, with great views of the bay from the terrace of our room. Interesting décor, clean and comfortable.
One or two minor niggles: TV did not work; didn't bother owner, as it was quite late anyway. Bedhead rattled, easily fixed with a cushion. Had hoped to have dinner, but restaurant not open. Went to a good Italian restaurant at the bottom of the hill.
Good breakfast.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a terrace to take full advantage of the views

We stayed here for one night with our children who are 10 and 13.on arrival we were shown to a parking space at the back of the hotel, which was a godsend as parking is at a premium in Llandudno.the entrance hall is spotless and full of original features.the room was immaculate and spacious....2 single beds and 1 double...it overlooked the whole bay and the views were out of this world.the location was also perfect,5 minutes from happy valley and 10 minutes from the pier and promenade.we enjoyed the breakfast and service was prompt and polite.to sum up value, location, cleanliness and service were superb.our only complaint was from the children wanting to stay another couple of nights.we will return to this beautiful hotel and would recommend it very highly.

Small single room ,great view ,good shower. Friendly owner Tanya, who made me feel really comfortable as a lady on my own. Nice sun terrace to relax after a days sightseeing. Breakfast was excellent, with a lovely view of LLandudno from the dining room. liked the nice touch of a bottle of water and home made flapjack for the journey home.

Room Tip: room 42,good rate for the single traveler .

From the exterior this hotel is amazing but as soon as you enter you are met with dogs and the stench of wet dogs truly awful, we informed reception we were not fond of dogs so please keep them away from us.
We were shown toour room the basin wouldn't work, we had no hot water and there was what I can only describe as pubic hair everywhere.
We informed reception and were soon met by the owner and guess what with his WET SMELLY DOG who came in and started sniffing us and licking our luggage after telling the hotel we were not fond of dogs!! , the owner was a very rude man and apparently the dog was for his "protection"
why because we are brown ??????
the gentleman was very rude, the staff rude, the hotel disgusting, zero star hotel I have never stayed anywhere so dirty and disgusting the building should be condemned

After being insulted sworn at and told to get out we left considering the fact it was the hotels issue that the sink was not working amongst other issue

Do not stay at this hotel it is not worth it such a waste and does not go with the beautiful surroundings
Llandudno is a stunning place where 99.9% of people of friendly and will help you with anything and such beautiful views and a lovely clean town

We had a lovely few days at the headlands last week. Our room was small but perfect for two, the bathroom was spotless and the shower was warm, nice clean and comfortable bed. Great breakfast (full English) good selection of cereals and juice etc. Friendly host and staff. We would defiantly go back.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view!

Mum & I wanted a short stay in LLandudno & I chose this hotel simply because it looked nice & had good reviews & we were not disappointed. We were met by Ray (the proprietor) who very cheerfully carried our cases up to our room. He made us feel at home in a very short space of time.
Our comfortable en suite room looked out over the promenade & we had fabulous views. Our breakfasts were lovely & there was a good choice, all fresh & home cooked. There is also a very well stocked bar!
All the guests we spoke to were as happy to be staying there as we were.
It is a dog friendle hotel which (although I didn't bring my dog) was a bonus especially as the resident dog is so gorgeous!
So we would like to say thanks again for our great stay & we will be back again.

We always have a yearly visit to LLandudno and since finding The Headlands on the side of Great Orme, we can't wait to go back. Just a pity work gets in the way!! You'll get a warm welcome from Ray,Tanya and Charlie (the Lurcher, don't worry he's very laidback). There's a great atmosphere as soon as you walk in through the front door, there are panelled walls and wide, creaking stairs leading to all floors, we always plump for Room 41, which we call the Panoramic Room. You get beautiful views overlooking two shores, towards Conway and Llandudno, you will also see the Welsh Mountain Goats on the side of the hill. If you aren't fit when you arrive, you will be when you leave.
Breakfast is superb and you are always assured of a welcome knock on the dining room window from George (the Herring Gull)! Ray will tell you all about him, you don't need to ask. You can ask Ray anything and he will give you plenty of information. If you stump him and he can't answer, you can be assured he will find out the answer!
You are only a few minutes walk down a steepish road, (so girls, 6" heels are a no no!) and you are in the town and many good restaurants. We liked The Seahorse, The New Mediterranean and East (Chinese), but there are loads more. Live music in some bars like The London.
Try the Tobogan Run, Cable car and Copper/Bronze Mines at the top of Great Orme.
I could go on for ever, I just want people to realise what they are missing.
Do try it, you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: Great views from Room 41 and very quiet.
