“Don't Stay at this Hotel”
Reviewed 23 March 2013

We had to stay in Llandudno for one night due to bad weather and booked into the Elsinore Hotel, it looked ok from the outside until we went in, we were greeted by youngsters in a lounge, French Students I believe, they seemed to be running this Hotel. We stayed in room 202 sea view, window rattling all night, One curtain stretched across 2 windows, one cracked, freezing room with a bed with the half of the underneath sticking out, duvet was wafer thin, nowhere to sit other than the bed, wafer thin pillows, sheets and towels were clean but you wouldn't want to take a shower not very clean, door was held together with tape, a plastic curtain with red hearts on it. We asked for a drink at reception as the bar was closed, she didn't have ice or lemon for the drink and didn't know how much it cost. Wouldn't stay again or recommend it.

Room Tip: Dont go there tv dont work and no wifi even though they say they have wifi

Well, this is what I got for my £20 .friendly and helpful staff. A single en suite room that is warm, quiet and clean. Lovely crisp sheets, tea making facilities with 6 milks, 4 coffees, 4 teas , and sugar. Tv in room. Free wifi downstairs, right on the sea front, complete with breakfast. Who could ask for more? Admittedly, the place is showing its age, but all the carpets are hoovered and things look pretty ship shape in the cleanliness dept. please don't come to a hotel like this and pay £20 and expect the radisson, it's £20 a night, with breakfast, how much more would you pay elsewhere ? If you want something cheap and cheerful, this is the place for you. If not go to the grand up the road and let them empty your pockets for you.

Stayed here early feb, lovely staff who I genuinely felt sorry for.. manager always shouting. I walked in to see if I could make a booking for the night 12th February and manager had a young girl who I believe is a receptionist in bar area screaming ay her. Heard word for word. Feel quite sorry for the staff they deserve so much more. Breakfast disgusting. Don't stay at this hotel! Cheap but I wouldn't even want to pay for my worst enemy to stay there!!!

I can't speak about the hotel in general or the food. We stayed one night in room 106. Avoid this room like the plague! No bedside tables, no bedside lamps, no mirror in bedroom. Kettle on a shelf on the wall, serious risk of knocking it off and getting scalded! Bathroom window cracked and covered in pigeon poo! Pillows as thin as a sheet of paper. (Did ask reception twice for 2 extra pillows. Received on second request.) So ended up with 2 pillows as thin as 2 sheets of paper! The highlight of our stay (NOT) water started pouring from the corner of the ceiling just as we were going out for the evening. Reported to reception and said we wouldn't be back until late. On our return at 2am, the front door would not open. (Latch was on!) no one on reception so we had to force the door open (or sleep in the car!) went to the room. A note on the bed saying they had tried to repair the leak. (they had pushed the bed away from the leak!) and a set of keys to another room in case we wanted to move. As it was so late we just went to bed. At 9am water was gushing from the ceiling saturating the carpet! To be honest we booked the room through late rooms for half price. So felt we couldn't complain too much. I believe in you get what you pay for!!!! But I wouldn't stay there again especially in room 106 if they offered it for free! Avoid.

Room Tip: Avoid room 106!

Popped over to Llandudno for night's stay, and ended up at this hotel, don't go in just cause the outside looks nice. This hotel looks like it caters for DHSS, room was that small you couldn't swing a cat round init, windows didn't fit the frame it was warmer outside, shower was dirty and also you had to hold the shower head in your hand while having a wash. we had to move the bed away from the window, tv picture was un-watchable, then breakfast if thats what you can call it, the bacon or what ever it was ment to be was like rubber took it home for the dog, it needs a good paint job along with total redecorating in the inside, staff need to smile as well.........
