“Terrible Hotel - The Hotel Manager was awful!!!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 July 2010

I stayed at this hotel recently. The rooms were dirty, the curtains were covered in dust. The pillows on our bed were badly stained. The bathroom was tiny and had a smell of sewage. Difficult using the toilet, as this was too close to the shower and sink. The radiator badly stained and rusty. Hotel lounge furniture very aged and dirty. The hotel manager customer service was appalling, he was quite rude and not customer friendly at all. The breakfast, well what can I say. very very small portions. One tablespoon of cereal or one weetabix, which a staff member provided for you. Toast and breakfast cold. Crockery really dated. Bar never opened. This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The dust in the room made me feel really ill. This was just an awful experience. Llandudno is a wonderful place. This hotel needs refurbishing and a change in management!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A really dissatisfied customer.

First impression-good. Welcomed by proprietor. Surprised to see notice in reception saying credit & debit cards not accepted. Room deluxe sea facing double was sparcely furnished with utility furniture plus a single bed which took up a lot of space-a small coffee table would have been an advantage. Tea/coffee tray very good. Left hotel in evening to eat at our favourite resraurant-on return wanting quiet drink at the bar before bed-only to find the place in darkness. Had to leave and go down the road to get a drink! The breakfast was very poor, bacon tasteless & sausage more cereal than ever near to a pig! Enquiring about the bar being closed, was informed that it only opens during week days when coach parties are in, and any way there are plenty of other places to get a drink! The proprietor went on to say that he didn't want to be kept up by guests returning late and then talking "drivel" for hours. We had chosen this hotel because of the small bar, with the idea that it would be quiet, and nice for a few drinks before retiring for the night. Nowhere is this information listed. Very disappointed and wouldn't want to return.

it shows that this hotel is 4* which is why i booked, when we arrived in the building we knew straight away it wasnt a 4*. The lift was frightening ancient and against all rules i would have thought, there was no door on it, it fits one person at a time and the wall is what you see moving in front of you when you go up or down. the room we were given was shocking, dirty, and old and damp. no way were we staying there.
The man there told us that they had another hotel up the road by the grand which was the 4* hotel.
so be careful

Only stayed for one night on a Saturday. The room was clean but far from Superior which is what I had booked. The ensuite was tiny, you had to tuck your legs under the washbasin to sit on the loo. Hoped for a quiet drink in the bar rather than trawl around town only to be told they don't open the bar on a Saturday as there were lots of other places open, the dining room was not open on the evening either, again because there were lots of eateries open so it wasn't worth their while-- what happened to customer service.!!! Would go back to LLandudno, it was a lovely town, but would definitely stay somewhere else.

I had a single room which was at the back of the Hotel and no bigger than a broom cupboard, when I complained to the owner he just replied that it was only for sleeping in. There was also a plastic sheet on top of the matress which I took off and had to remake the bed . The breakfast was adaquate but the evening meal consisted of frozen overcooked vegetables which I found to be inedible and the deserts consisted of things like jelly and icecream. I paid a lot of money for the holiday and found everything on offer in the hotel was done on a shoe string. Sue the waitress was very pleasant and worked really hard, but the owner I found to be rude.

We have just returned from the Trevone Hotel after a 5 day break there, as soon as we arrived we were greeted by Sue, given our keys, and our luggage was taken straight to our room - very quick and efficient.
We had requested a 'front facing room' (the Hotel faces the beach) which we were given and although it was a little on the small side it was very clean, fresh, and comfy, with fantastic views of the sea, bay, pier and the Great Orme! (walk or take the Tram to the summit....stunning!!!!) and the town center is a 5 minute walk away.
The owners -Roger and Rhona, were very nice and genuinely wanted you to have a lovely stay, always spoke to their guests, asking what you'd done with your day, advice on where to go etc,
Mick, (waiter/bartender), was very organised with his service and most helpful,.. and Tony, (Chef) produced excellent dinners and breakfasts (a perfect egg every morning!) - we enjoyed every meal put before us!!

Go, .. you wont be disappointed

(Snuggles for Crimbo xx)

Just left today, after an excellent week with Travone

Rooms very clean, well serviced, by competent caring staff

Food excellent, with varied choice, and again excellent staff

DIY tea and coffee, in the room

Food was good and enough, Full breakfast will take you anywhere throughout the day, and good quality

Evening meal, good food and sufficient, If you want chateu briand steak then go out for an evening meal and pay £50 a head before your concert

Entertainment was good, Though this is dependent on your age and expectation, Good entertainment for 35 to 95 year old
No Robbie Williams or Paul McCartney
Just pure entertainment, with a good laugh provided by local people

We even had a wedding conducted by the CAPTAIN of our Coach :-)

Our trips were laid on, but if you are here on your own initiataive, then it is ideally placed, to explore North Wales

Thank you TRAVONE for an excellent week

Annonymouse or room 1 if you insist :-)

I have not yet cracked the Naval theme, though I am working on it as I am working on a new bell rope for Roger, I am sure he will appreciate my rope work (ex RN dabtoe)
