Fabulous walk with super views. Something I have wanted to do for a long time and it did not disappoint. History and nature, fabulous weather was an added bonus and it's Free!

After queuing for a long time for the tram up I nearly didn't bother going to the summit, I'm now glad that I did.

The views from the top are magnificent. There's a small crazy golf course which is a fun way to pass an hour for only £3 each. The restaurant at the top is reasonable too with lovely fresh cream cakes :)

I wouldn't miss out on a trip up the great orme when you're in Llandudno.

The great Orme is a rock dominating one side of the town and the traditional method (other than a hime) of getting to the top is by taking the tram which is fun and a good piece of history. You can either do a return trip or once at the top get a single ticket on the cable car. The views on the cable car make doing a return journey on both worth the money but if you go one way on the cable car go down for the breathtaking views.

The views are breathtaking, you can journey by cable car or tram and once at the top there is a visitor center and rather expensive cafe. You can see where previous visitors have written their names on the Orme with pebbles and the views are spectacular.

I always come here. The problem is that most people do not spend long enough exploring the Great Orme. A whole day or more is well rewarded. I would suggest walking around the Marine Drive as long as you are reasonably fit. You cannot appreciate the size and grandeur of The Orme from a car or a coach. I would suggest starting the walk from the West Shore as the climb is less steep and you leave the lovely views to Llandudno until the end. There are places to stop and sit and a reasonable cafe half way round. Allow at least 2 hours to walk around. Once you have done the circuit take a trip to the top by tram or cable car or walk. THe views from the top are great to the West but do not expect a view of Llandudno itself. There are also plenty of paths to explore across the top of the Orme to see the wildlife such as the famous goats. The visitors centre at the top of the Tramway is small but very informative although the cafe is only mediocre and the sop is full of tat so avoid.
