We've just returned from our four night Christmas break and it was just terrific! Everything from the lovely room, down to the last mince pie was superb and there were so many little treats and extras that we were bowled over. All the staff were pleasant and friendly; Trevor in the dining room was always witty and efficient, the food was plentiful and nicely served, and the entertainment was enjoyable, especially when we could all sing along and join in.
The hotel was super warm and very festive; we feel that we have been spoilt for Christmas anywhere else! Thankyou all.

Room Tip: 209, family room, bath & shower, right at the front.

Any stay with us is all about making sure everyone feels included and part of a family, as the hotel is family run this is very important. Thank you for your review and Trevor has taken his new found fame in his stride.

Thank you.

Just got back from a weekend break at the Chatsworth with my work collegueas. We found the hotel bedroom and ensuite to be spotless the food was good. The entertainment on the Friday evening was excellent, we met a crowd of people from Stafford who made Saturday evening a lot of fun. The majority of staff were polite and helpful. The location of the hotel is great if you like shopping and walking. Would recomend this hotel and would stay at the hotel again.

Room Tip: Rooms on the side of the hotel give you a view of the sea, the Orme and the shops

What a complete waste of money,i was there on the 18/11/11=20/11/11,Turkey Tinsel,We had a xmas cracker, and a xmas serviette [paper].
There was no menu,if you didnt like it [hard cheese]
No atmospere whatsoever, and the staff were all sullen,a right lot,i do not know where they got them from.
The Manager must have been desperate.
Thee food was awfull, they ran out of something every day, usually puddings,i had the last of the syrup sponge,i guessed as i literally had a teaspoon full, with not much more of the so called custard, the next table had to have ice cream lucky them,a s it was not on the menu,
my friend does not eat puddings and asked for cheese & crackers, ooh no ,we dont have those
she asked for ice cream, ooh no its not on the menu.
Everything about this Hotel [as they like to call it] is awfull the rooms are a disgrace.
So all i can say now is,there has to be 2 of them?
I was at the Hydro the week B4 just up the road, call in and look at the menu,i could not believe it,the staff all Eastern europeans were the smartest most pleasant ,could not do enough for you
The Hotel is very tired as are the others, but the food and entertainment, was second to non.
Try it,
I would not go to the Chatsworth if it was free.Complete and utter rubbish.

Well what can I say - We went to Chatsworth House on a National Holidays coaching Holiday on Friday 18th November. The staff in this hotel are extremely rude and have severe attitude problems. The food in the hotel was absolutely disgusting to the point that my turkey was black and had like a grey jelly around it. We didn't get to eat our evening meal until 7pm on a evening and got what was ever left. Not much choice at all on the food side and very very little of it. The room we were in was also a disgrace - tiles in the bathroom coming away from the wall, the wash basin actually in the bedroom and not the bathroom and took sometime to work out that the cold tap was actually the hot water tap and vice versa. Our room also seemed to have sprung a leak through the sealing to which the manager was not really helpful in sorting. His opinion was that the room above had not put the shower curtain in properly. Poor sole that has to stop in the room we left as the bed was wet through!!
Overall a disaster from start to finish and I would definately not recommend this hotel. It is a disgrace to National Holidays and they should not even consider sending anyone else there.

I booked this holiday with a local coach firm. I am 83 and travelled with a coakh party of recyled teenagers. Beffore I went I readf some of the reviews and was a little worried, when I went up to my room it was spotless, The bed was comfy, and I had a lovely corner shower. The food was good and well cooked maybe another choice, beside Meat Fish and Veggie option. Also we had our eveningmeal at 6, which I like and then had to wait till 830 for the entertainment and people my age do not want to wander the streets atnight. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay and wouldgo back.

Room Tip: I was very near the lift but there was no noise fromit

the room was ok we had a family room for my husband and myself so we had plenty of room.but it was our driver Joe from Autumn travels that really made our holiday.we arrived and the manager of the hotel came on the coach to welcome us and told us there was mince pies and tea, so we though thats good, 2 or 3 people in our party only drink coffee but was told they wouldn't make coffee, so Joe went on the coach and made it for them. We expected to see a christmas tree as it was a turkey & tinsel party but was told they wouldn't put one up because we might damage it as we were a party of" pensioners" i don't know what we could have done .the drinks are very expensive £9 for 2 glases of wine.on Tuesday night the artist didn't turn up a he was ill, but there was no replacement, so Joe organised a game of bingo but he had great trouble getting permission to use the microphone. it's the first turkey and tinsel we have been on , we would go on another but not to this hotel

Room Tip: go to another hotel
