We stayed one night on sat 14th june 2014, not very happy with:- we had find our own room on the 2nd floor, we went into our room found a tissue roll holding the window open (the tissue was been shredded by the seagulls all through the night), windows were filthy, hair dryer no good , no phone, the bed was awful, the bed you can feel the strings and hear them, we thought the bed was broke at first but was the mattress, not a good night sleep at all. We went for a swim 7am and pool was not clean there was things floating in it. Went back to room as there only one shower in changing room, I had a shower in the room, the plastic bit on the shower for soap was dirty the shower was plugged into the bath took ages get right setting, my other half had a shower after but was either too hot or too cold ending up having a bath. Went down for breakfast found our own table, had cereal that was good, had cooked breakfast was not very nice had toast with no butter, waiters were ok the only ones that spoke to you when you ask for anything, part from that no other staff spoke to us. We went back to our room to finish packing and behind the draws looked dirty only knew because I dropped my brush behind, the bowel in room with tea and coffee in was really filthy, I would not stay here again , the one star rating I give is the view of the sea front. Very disappointed.

Stayed with National Coach tour. Excellent location opposite to the sea and within few minutes from shops. Hiccup over room eventually sorted out and resulted in sea view on second floor. This was comfortable with excellent sea view. Some meals excellent though salads disappointing. Negative was seating arrangements in restaurant - directed where to sit on first evening and told we had to sit there for each meal. Prefer to choose our own dining companions - poor company spoilt mealtimes.

Room Tip: Room 261 - Next to lift and overlooks the sea. Comfortable if a bit dated. Even with road and seagul...

Thought we would take a trip to Llandudno, just for a change, as we always liked the resort. This hotel is typical of a UK holiday resort - Victorian building with much need for renovation. The room was a hike from reception, but nice sea view. Old-fashioned decor and furniture to take you back years. The bathroom was wallpapered, which was peeling off the walls. On the plus side - the hotel was right on the seafront 10 yards from the promenade. The breakfast was good, but for almost £100 a night, it should be. Good entertainment at night. Not worth the cost

Room Tip: stay somewhere else

This is a very friendly hotel with lovely staff and great facilities. I was here for business so on my own but they made me feel very welcome and always had time to chat, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is right on the seafront and a few mins walk to the town centre. The indoor swimming pool was a great surprise! The room had all mod cons and was ensuite. I would definitely stay here again.

Booked for 2 nights, clean bedroom with sea view and en-suite. Been informed to the hotel about my husband needing gluten free meals and the hotel said "no problems" First evening we had soup my husband asked for gluten free bread and replied no gluten free bread available. He was very disappointed so the next morning before breakfast we went to Sainsbury to get gluten free bread so he had some for breakfast and also evening meal for soup. Another disappointed about the dessert as they provided either fruit salad or ice cream, he did not enjoy.

Overall the Hotel facilities were reasonable for a property of this age, many of the rooms having been recently refurbished.
The Staff were pleasant enough and willing to help however there were some shortcomings with their organisation.
The restaurant Staff seemed to work hard but the 'waiting to be served' times varied greatly and were often lengthy. Frequently the emphasis was on setting tables for the next sitting whilst Guests had to wait long periods for their next course., On a more serious note - the Fire Alarm was activated at about midnight on the final night of our stay. Everyone assembled outside the front entrance where chaos reigned. No staff were initially present and Guests were left to wonder what had happened or what was required of them. Eventually a type of roll call was performed by two staff members but the effectiveness or success of this action was far from convincing. Guests eventually started to drift back into the building after the fire brigade had arrived but again no formal instructions were given by the staff. All in all this was a far from satisfactory operation and by pure luck the reason for the alarm was minor - we believe - we dread to imagine what would have been the outcome if a more serious incident had occurred More emergency training is certainly urgently needed. On a more happy note, the food in the restaurant was very good on the whole with very generous portions. The evening entertainment was acceptable but some guests would have liked a Bingo session, not us we hasten to add ! The arrangements for the passage of guests through the performance area was far from satisfactory, all passing between the artiste and the audience, which was very distracting and sometimes embarrassing for those concerned Thankfully our stay was a short one luckily with friends who also share our views!

Room Tip: Side rooms were of good size and sunny.

We arrived on Friday with National, Not Impressed that we were not advised what was to happen when keys were collected had to order an evening meal. Hubster signing in so ordered me lamb. Room was excellent window would not open wide due to flat roof so a bit stuffy. Friday meal was to die for. Saturday meal ok but let down by the tardiness of waitress. Breakfast adequate for me but good for some one who is not as fussy as me (believe me I am).Entertainment brilliant beer in bar VERY good for a hotel. All round would recommend and hope to go back. Location excellent
