From the moment we arrived made to feel so welcome. Scones and tea as we got there and our luggage taken to our rooms. I took a party of 10 and the staff made sure each person was treated like a queen. Good rooms, staff were lovely and always gave us time. The food and service was wonderful and entertainment was great and the night started with cocktails in the bar or a lovely sherry 4 and 5 course meals each night and we even had truffles on the last night. Staff on hand to help with luggage to the mini bus on leaving.already looking for new dates to book but this time a bigger group.

Thank you very much for your lovely review we are very pleased you all enjoyed your stay during one of our Theme Breaks.

Our homemade complimentary scones always go down well with our guests especially after a long journey.

We look forward to seeing all of you again in the near future.

From the start of our holiday we were treated with respect and kindness, Susanne the manageress had a lovely smile for everyone and all the staff were friendly and attentive to your needs.
Our room was large with sea views, the food was first class every meal, the entertainment was superb each night.
The critics of this hotel must have gone to a different hotel than we did.

On arrival at the Hotel, I greeted at reception by Harry Hill, ( a Harry Hill look a like named Brian ) a great bloke & a good laugh, after enjoying tea & scones, I was shown to my room by Brian as my eyesight is not too good, he had me in stitches all the way up to my room. The room was clean & comfortable, Staff very friendly, breakfast & evening meals superb, & the free entertainment from Brian was an added bonus, I wish I could take him home with me.
best wishes,
Edwin

Stayed here because of its proximity to Venue Cymru but that was just about the only redeeming feature! The management staff were not particularly hospitable and the rest of the staff whilst not rude or unpleasant were not exactly welcoming either. The breakfast manager in particular was quite unappreciative that his customers had actually paid for the service he was supposed to be providing!
The decor is very dated and the layout of the lounge is reminiscent of a care home! The room we had was small but clean and fairly comfortable. The shower room was modern and clean.
Can't comment on the standard of the evening meals as the hotel was unable to accomodate any extra guests for dinner - we weren't part of the 'Turkey & Tinsel' brigade. However breakfast was certainly the poorest value. You have to choose between fruit juice, tinned grape fruit or a child-size cereal portion, plus the cooked option. I've stayed in many hotels and guesthouses both in the UK and abroad and this is the first time juice has ever been offered as a food option! When I expressed surprise at this the response was less than helpful and I was made to feel very awkward at having said anything.
There is nothing about this hotel that warrants the prices they charge.

very dated and tired establishment in need of refurbishment. very 1960s in many aspects such as reception and dining room. very small room with badly torn curtain lining grotty bathroom etc BUT the room was clean. Food was very basic and it seemed that half the staff had trouble with the english language. entertainment was embarrasing, as most guests seemed to agree. In a nutshell, a very expensive hotel, certainaly not the three star claimed on the very expensive adverts in the Sunday papers. This has convinced us not to holiday in the UK again, if this is an example of three star UK accomodation
Simply overrated and definitly overpriced.

I read all the reviews on St. Kildas and decided to book for myself , young son and father who is elderly, the location seemed idea as my father cannot walk to far. On arrival we were made welcome with tea and scones and then had to find our way to our room which was situated at the rear of the hotel overlooking a hideuos rusty metal fire exit. The staff were freindly and very helpful and the entertainment at night was good but unfortunately everything else was just about basic. The rooms were adequate, it was almost like taking a step back in time with some of the furnishings. The worst thing about our stay was without a doubt the food which to be quite honest was absolutely dreadful, how anybody could call the food good is beyond comprehension, from the cold toast at breakfast to the lumpy mash at evening or finding chicken bones in a childs meal. The meals were served much like school dinners and from what i can remember tasted much like them as well. My advise if you are thinking of staying at this hotel would be book a room only (make sure it faces the sea front) and don't eat at the hotel, used as a base it is quite central and has the advantage of a garage at the back
