“Great breakfast”
Reviewed 16 February 2014

We stayed at Morlea on 15th/16th Feb 2014.
The hotel room had everything you need, tissues, cotton buds, shower cap, shampoo, shower gel, tea and coffee etc, I couldnt think of anything else it needed. The owners and staff were friendly and eager to please. The breakfast was lovely, filling and with lots of choice. I require a special diet and that was provided without fuss, great service.
My only disappointments were the shower wasnt great, the room was small and cold and in the attic so we had the sloping ceiling/roof, fine for one night but I couldnt have stayed in it for more than that. Lastly it was 6 flights of stairs, my partner aged 60 struggled with the stairs and we couldnt connect to the free wifi .
We would stay again but not in that room or on that floor.

Room Tip: avoid the top floor

We visited this hotel just for a weekend break with my mum and young son and when we arrived we were greeted by Joyce and John who couldn't of been more friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
The room was really clean and the bathroom had everything that would be needed ie shampoo and shower gel. We weren't able to use the shower as it went either boiling hot to freezing cold.

The hotel is in the ideal location just a few minutes from restaurants and shops and a short walk to the promenade. The free parking on the hotel driveway was also ideal. We were given the front door key so we could come and go as we pleased with disturbing anyone.

The breakfast was lovely you can help yourself to a selection of cereals and orange/apple juices. The full welsh breakfast and toast will see you through the morning.

Thank you Joyce and John for a lovely stay.

Lovely b & b in a great location with the added bonus of private parking. Warm welcome & the feeling that nothing was too much trouble. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Would definitely make another visit.

We have just returned home to Australia but wanted to share our wonderful experience of this family run guest house.
We stayed for 5 nights with my elderly Mum and from the moment we walked into the hotel John and Joyce (our hosts) could not have been more friendly or helpful.
We had 2 rooms next to each other which were very well appointed & spotlessly clean with comfortable beds, great showers, tv, tea & coffee ( also Hot chocolate ) free wifi, and all the little extras that made us feel so welcome. Joyce even kindly provided a hot water bottle for Mums feet (that feel the cold) even though the rooms were lovely and warm.
Breakfasts were fantastic and kept us going all day.
We found the location perfect for strolling into town for dinner and John and Joyce had all the maps and information we needed for driving further afield to explore.
Great price for a really high quality guest house.
We would definitly reccomend this hotel to everyone.

Our 2 sons booked a 2 night stay from 17/9/13 to 19/9/13 for our Silver Wedding Anniversary. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!! The room was accessorised so that everything matched & was spotlessly clean (& the en-suite was too). Nothing was too much trouble & the free WiFi was a bonus!!
Our room had to be passed to get to all the other rooms but we never heard a thing from the other guests!! We slept with the window open the 2nd night & there was no noise at all!!
I can't usually sleep in other beds because I have Arthritis but I had the best sleep I've ever had (away from home) in the bed in our room.
I don't usually have a full breakfast but what I had was lovely, hubby had the full breakfast & thoroughly enjoyed it!!
The location of the Morlea is ideal because it is a few minutes walk away from the Main Street & sea front. There is free parking in front as well.
We will definitely stay here again!!

Have just returned from Morlea Hotel. We visited with our 11 month old son. Felt at home from the moment we arrived. John and Joyce are the perfect hosts. The room was immaculte with lots of lovely little extras that i certainly wouldnt have expected for a bed and breakfast and the price we paid. This hotel is a perfect base for anyone visiting Llandudno. Would definately recommend and would love to stay again.

The Morlea is a fantastic little B&B with modern, well decorated rooms that have spotlessly clean ensuite bathrooms.

It is fair to say that a fair number of B&B's in the area could be described as a little worn around the edges but certainly NOT the Morlea- I was impressed by the standard of the property for the low price that you pay. Also, the service is very good and Janice is a star!

Another plus is free onsite parking, which is a bonus in Llandudno as getting a space on one of the streets is often a little time consuming as it is usually very busy.

The only thing to be aware of is that this is not a sea front hotel so don't expect fantastic views from your window. However, it is only a couple of minutes stroll away from the main pier and promenade so unless you are super picky with your views, this shouldn't really be an issue.

As far as Llandudno hotels and B&B's go- and I have stayed in a few over the years- this is certainly one of the best!
