Further to previous reviews in respect of stays at the Marine, my Wife and I where so disappointed this time! Disappointed that we couldn't stay for another 4 nights! We tried to stay the following week but the Marine was full, so we tried to book for the following week end and that was fully booked also!
We stayed at the Marine, as we have done many times before on Weekend of 1st July 2011 for our 15th Wedding Annivarsary and my Birthday. (Never mind which one!!).
The Reception Team where as usual friendly and helpful (A particular mention for Kelly) and we where given one of our favourite rooms which we requested before travel.
The food was very good and varied as usual. This even though my Wife has Coeliac Disease. (All food must be Gluten Free, so she has dietry needs). The waitress was efficient and friendly as usual and in fact all the staff at this hotel are to be commended for the way that they look after guests.
This praise is coming from a guy that would put Victor Meldrew to shame normally being prone to moan if things are not as they should be.
With our honest experience we just cannot understand why anyone gives negative reviews for the Marine.
For what you pay and what you get generally speaking the Marine offers very good value indeed, as all Shearings Hotels do. And my Wife and I have stayed at quite a few!
For us staying in the best Seaside Resort in Wales, which in our honest opinion Llandudno is, and at the Marine Hotel, makes for a lovely holiday in Summer or Winter.
