I took my mother for a 2 night stay in Llandudno and we found the hotel to be fine.

The location is superb and we both had sea view rooms, which were singles and they were good. The rooms were smallish but were very clean and had en suite bathrooms which, again, were very clean. They had a wardrobe, small 3 drawer cabinet, TV and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel itself is quite big, with 3 lounges, a small bar, 2 dining areas and games room and a car park, which we wanted. The staff were friendly and the check in/check out was quick and efficient. Breakfast was OK, with cereals and juices available, and you could order porridge, a full English breakfast, kippers and poached/scrambled eggs on toast.

The only problem was dinner in the evening. On the Thursday night, we struggled to find anywhere in Llandudno that was serving dinner, after 7pm but we finally found somewhere but we decided to eat at the hotel, on the Friday. The meal was £20 each but the food was pretty awful. It was not fresh and was fairly tasteless. The food is obviously pre-cooked and just thrown on a plate when ordered, which is not my idea of a restaurant. The 'crispy', deep fried garlic mushrooms were not crispy and my mothers scampi was grey and over cooked.

Very poor standard!

Despite the food, both me and my mother would be happy to stay in the hotel, again, and we plan to book for next year but we will eat elsewhere!

Booked a last minute Saturday night to the hotel and didn't really know what we were in for as mixed bag of reviews. Arrived about 3pm to a full car park bar one space that was a tight squeeze to say the least, had to reverse all the way in from the exit to get into it . Room at the back of the hotel we had for £80 for the night. Room very dated, small but was very clean. Weird the sink is in the room not the bathroom?. Breakfast good, very efficient service and staff in the breakfast room very helpful and polite. Would I stay again, yes but not at £80 a pop, not worth the money but if rates were reduced for dated rooms then yes.

Room Tip: Don't go in high season as can charge what they like for a room

Stayed here for 1 night, booked 2 rooms. Rooms were very clean, decor is dated and in need of refreshing, but has everything you need, breakfast could have been better as portions were on the small side, reception staff were lovely and very helpful and efficient. Hotel seems clean and tidy. If you are looking for basic rooms, clean, and helpful staff this hotel is good value for money and you get what you pay for. I would stay here again.

Stayed here just for one night whilst visiting Llandudno very basic but clean. Could do with modernising very old fashioned but it did the job. Car Parking is around the back of the building which is not very good and very tight!. Breakfast ok although not a lot of it.

Stayed for a week at end of July, with wife, pooch and for 5 nights our grandson (not booked in) Hotel easy to find, parking at rear, a little tight, but a bit of manovering never hurt anyone. Checkin easy, staff very polite and helful.
Room on second floor, more than adaquate, always clean to high standard, despite the best efforts of grandson.
Breakfast, again the staff were excellant, in particular young lady who appeared to be in charge, always helping with grandson. Food was good, plenty of choice. Didnt have evening meals, but plenty of people were eating in, didn't hear any complaints.
sure the
place needs some cash spending on it, to bring it into the 21st century, but that dosen't take away the good efforts of the staff, who worked hard to please the guests. Plenty of relaxing areas, bar well stocked, didnt watch the entertainment but the oldies appeared to be enjoying it.

just returned from a weekend at this hotel and after reading a lot of the past reviews we were wondering what to expect. We had a very enjoyable stay - the hotel bedroom on the first floor had been refurbished( even though the wash-basin was in the bedroom and not in the bathroom) and was a really nice room comfortable beds and very clean white sheets with duvet covers to match the curtains. We went on a bed and breakfast deal and enjoyed a good cooked breakfast. We found the staff to be very friendly especially the reception. Plenty of seating in the lounges but did not like the idea of the dogs staying there and were allowed to sit on these chairs/settees - good thing was they were not allowed in the dining rooms. Would recommend this hotel - excellent position right on sea front.

Room Tip: possibly try to get a front bedroom although having not stayed in the rear rooms can't really co...
