My husband and I stayed for two nights and I was extremely surprised by the quality. On our arrival we were welcomed by the hostess who gave us some great directions for getting us out and about. Lovely touch! Also showed us around the place!
The memory foam mattress on our bed in room 9 was so comfortable I found it hard to get out of bed! However, the gorgeous breakfast awaited us! ( personally I think the pancakes are a must!! )
Highly recommended!! Excellent setting too! X

Just returned from a 1 night stay at the Clontarf Hotel- what a brilliant place!
Contemporary furnishings and tasteful decor featured throughout this lovely little hotel. The bed in our room (No 8) was incredibly comfortable, not to mention fully adjustable for watching T.V,reading,etc.
Our room offered breathtaking views over the Great Orme, and out towards the West Shore.
The choice at breakfast was outstanding!- featuring quality local produce-all perfectly cooked and presented.
Last but not least, our hosts, Mark and Joni, made us feel extremely welcome, and could not do enough to make our all to short stay as pleasant as possible!
We would not hesitate to thoroughly recommend this hotel to anybody and we will be certainly returning in the not too distant future.

Room Tip: There is a lovely ground floor room for people with mobility problems.

My wife and I love Llandudno and have stayed at many hotels in the past which are usually situated in the main part of the resort on the 'North Shore' (the side with the pier!).

However, on this occasion we chose the 'Clontarf' on the less busy 'West Shore' because of the rave reviews and the excellent photos of their rooms on their web site.

We were certainly not disappointed as the owners had obviously spent much time and money creating a wonderful 'contemporary' guest house with well appointed rooms and which are very tastefully decorated throughout.

Our own room - 'Enchanted' (room No. 9), on the 2nd floor had a great view overlooking the 'Orme' and the bed was extremely comfortable and we both had an excellent night's sleep and unlike all the hotels we had previously visited on the 'North Shore', we were not awoken in the middle or the night or early in the morning by the sound of bin lorries, police cars/ambulances or the obligatory seagulls which usually make a hell of a din!

The breakfast was also fantastic - as good as or better than most 3/4 star hotels I have ever stayed at because they obviously make it a policy to source quality food and take the time to do everything properly - from the fruit salad made from fresh tropical fruit rather than out of a tin to their local Welsh made yogurts.

Their location on the West Shore was absolutely no problem whatsoever as it was less than 15 minutes walk to the middle of the main Llandudno shopping area where all the pubs and restaurants are located and it is ideally placed for any visitors wishing to walk around/over the 'Great Orme' and there is also a coastal path to Deganwy/Conwy which I hadn't previously known about!

We had an excellent 2 day break at the 'Clontarf' which was helped by the weather where we actually had blue skies and just one brief shower - better than we could have hoped for and next time we visit Llandudno, we will DEFINITELY be re-booking the 'Clontarf' which is not something I have said previously about any of the many Llandudno hotels/guest houses we have stayed at in the past!!

Another wonderful stay with my sister and some friends. The owners Joni and Mark couldn't be any more welcoming and friendly. We love staying here knowing the quality of the accommodation and how our every need is met with a smile and helpfulness. If you have ever tried to find somewhere to stay with a disabled person you will know just how hard it is to get it right so that you can all relax. The ground floor room with its small and perfectly formed shower room means my sister can be independent and my friends and I can relax knowing she is comfortable and managing. We chose to eat in each night thoroughly enjoying well prepared, beautifully cooked piping hot local produce at an excellent price. No arguments of where to go, no facing the unpredictable weather, no walk back after too much food and wine. Just a lovely meal with our slippers on (nobody notices under the table) and then a retreat to the lounge to undo the buttons put our feet up and finish the wine. We always return home well fed and so well rested all we have to worry about is when to book our next stay.

Room Tip: The ground floor room is a treasure for disabled guests.
